OK, i'm still WIP, but i've got a 16x28 tiles dancefloor with 7 auto delayed on/off switches with random connections (that's 32cables per tower). Seems good for now, just fking long to build >_<
nope, i'm making a flashing floor, I mean i'm using timers & stuff to manke it kinda random ... just one thing going bad, I think I did too much, my computer (i7 4.4GHz) seems to lagg a bit ... T-T
hehe I do, and I still have the save file I juste have to reinstall game and mods >_< I now have an i9 gen11 GeForce RTX 3080 OC with 64Gb Ram, It should be fine for this game
Unfortunate that this mod author was banned lol. I just got back into installing and recall a few of basic yet great mods that didn't take up more space than necessary. Found out they were created by this guy, or girl? and read into a bit of the drama that occurred between then and now.
Aside from that, this mod still works perfectly fine with Place Everywhere. Giant light boxes? Yes, thank you.
I built a dance floor. I connected all of the light boxes - 15 X 15 - 255 in all - to a switch which in turn is connected to a terminal and that is connected to a very powerful modded nuclear generator.
On the terminal I chose randomize colors. I chose the switch that powered the lights on and off and gave both "on" and "off" a 1 sec delay. This gave me a many- colored floor that repeatedly switched on and then off... okay... So how do I get the 'John Travolta' floor with lights randomly flashing on and off. I know I could create 5 different patterns with 5 terminals, switches and generators to create the flashing effect but it wouldn't be random and would look like a nonsense animated graphic. Am I missing something?
Im in VAULT 88 and was hoping to use the vault power conduit to light all my floor lights. But its not working. Im probably missing something but could use some help. Thanks.
Very late reply to this comment but I'll put this up if anyone is having the same problem. Built your vault power conduit then build a normal conduit and connect them. From there you can connect the normal conduit to the light boxes.
can you make small lightbox as well? was planning to use them to bring my pixel art to a new level but they're all big boxes, i only use the small ones
Now all we need to do is make them cost less than one power..... IDEA Combine them, into different tetris styles shapes, so we can save power on power......
I don't know whether this will help, but if you want all the boxes to use zero power, then this worked for me. You can edit the .esp using FO4Edit. To do so, you should make a backup of your .esp first (just in case anything goes awry) and then follow the instructions below:
1) Start FO4Edit. Right click, deselect all mods, and then select only DDP_Lightbox1.esp. Click 'OK' and wait for FO4Edit to do its stuff.
2) Click on the '+' symbol next to DDP_Lightbox1.esp and then on the '+' symbol next to 'Activator'. You should now see two new categories under 'Activator'. The first of these corresponds to the floor lightboxes, and the second to the ceiling lightboxes.
3) Select the first category (01000A38 DD_Lightbox_floor1) by left clicking on it and then scroll down in the right hand window to the box labelled 'PRPS - Properties'. In this section, right click the 'Actor Value' (the value itself, not the title) and select 'edit'. A warning window will appear. Select 'Yes, I'm absolutely sure' and when the pop-up box asking for the new value appears, simply leave the value blank (i.e. remove the existing value and press 'OK'.
4) Repeat the process for the second value. Your 'PRPS - Properties' section should now read:
Actor Value : NULL - Null Reference [00000000] Value: 0.000000
5) Now repeat the process for the ceiling lightboxes, which are in the second category under 'Activator' (i.e. 01000A39 DD_Lightbox_ceiling1).
6) When you are happy with your edits, then close FO4Edit and you will be given the option to save your changes to the .esp. Save the changes and restart FO4. The lightboxes should now use zero power, but you will still have to wire them to a generator.
Ok, so I have a weird thing happening and am wondering what I am missing? When I uninstall this mod through NMM and load a saved game all my lightboxes are still there.... What am I missing? Maybe a file somewhere, I've looked and can't find anything.. any help or hints on what to dowould be greatly appreciated
