"If you consider that "working as intended," then sorry, but I have to question your competency there." - Odessa Valdez

Preset requires LooksMenu and can be used on the player or on NPCs compatible with LooksMenu presets. If you are using NPC or companion face replacer mods they may interfere with LooksMenu presets displaying correctly on those NPCs. I listed the exact mods I'm using for skin/hair/body below but none of these are required for the face to display correctly.

Installation

Install with mod manager of your choice, no need to manually install (but you could, of course).

General Troubleshooting of LooksMenu Presets (current info as of 12/2022)

If you have issues with LooksMenu presets such as this one not displaying correctly on your character or NPCs, issues with presets shooting "beams" of skin out of the head in the preview, or issues with CTD when applying presets... try the following.

  • Update Looksmenu to the most current version (1.6.20). Some people choose to use the older versions for compatibility with certain mods. Older versions of Looksmenu can cause the game to crash when trying to load presets. You may find that the mods that "required" the older version work fine after all.
  • Install Buffout 4 and find the Buffout4.toml file in the Data/F4SE/Plugins, open in Notepad, and where it says "F4EE = false # 1.6.20 - Patches various LooksMenu bugs" change "false" to "true" and save the file. This will usually fix the "beams of skin" issue but is meant for the 1.6.20 version of LooksMenu.
  • Uninstall any mods that automatically alter the face shape of the NPC you are trying to apply the preset to. Anything that "replaces" or "overhauls" their face must be uninstalled before applying the preset. Sometimes to fully correct this you need to use Face Ripper to revert them to their default face data in your save file. For further help with using Face Ripper please refer to the Face Ripper page.
  • Certain NPCs (Piper, Cait, etc) suffer from face distortion when using Looksmenu because of the FMIN value in their records.. check out this mod to correct that. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43770
