Fixes/Tweaks/QoL changes that I have customized for my own play throughs. There are some changes that some might consider cheating but most are optional and configurable via MCM.

Please see Fixes and Tweaks Included In-Depth for more detailed explanations for all changes. The description was getting too long so I moved details and explanations over to an article.



As of v1.2 I've included MCM settings to configure a lot of game settings, VATS tweaks, etc. Most settings are stored in an INI and can be saved using MCM Settings Manager so you can save and apply settings across playthroughs. 

NOTE: I've included a language file for easier translations, so if you are using a language other than English you will need to rename this file. It can be found under Data\Interface\Translations\FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis_en.txt. Rename the file to use your language code (i.e. FO4FixesAndTweaksByAurelianis_fr.txt for French)

The following are all configurable via MCM (and completely optional!)

Companions
  • Toggle Ammo Usage
  • Toggle PA Damage (Danse already has the keyword that prevents PA damage, so I did not include this setting for him)

Factions
  • Set tech docs spawn rate (this can be set so that they spawn before getting the quest)
  • Set viable blood sample spawn rate (this can be set so that they spawn before getting the quest)
  • Set number of active quests for the Minutemen (if set to 1 you will only get one quest at a time from Preston but can still get quests from settlers).
  • Set the chance of Minutemen quests being given. 

Immersion

Lockpicking & Hacking
  • Lockpicking Sweet Spot for all levels of lockpicking (does not remove the perk requirements, only changes the sweet spot size)
  • Hacking Maximum number of words (setting to 1 always shows the correct word)

Quality of Life
  • Iron Sights DOF Strength (blur effect when aiming weapon)
  • Terminal Display Rate
  • Workshop Wire Length
  • Set iDeathDropWeaponChance. Some mods change this to 0 which can cause an issue with weapons appearing with an exploded view.
  • Toggle Combat Music Hotkey (can be customized to whatever key you want)
  • Set a hotkey to run the script from Rusty Face Fix (This does not work with v2.0.0). This allows you to run the script at any time, so you don't have to save and reload. You need Rusty Face Fix for the hotkey to work, but it's not required to use this mod. If you don't want to use it, you don't have to.
  • Sentry Bot Spawn (level in which Sentry Bots spawn during Automatron Robot Encounters)
  • Disable/Enable Robot Encounters
  • Robot Encounter Chance
  • Robot Settlement Attack Chance
  • Nuka-World Raider Encounter Chance (after Home Sweet Home)

VATS
  • VATS Engage Distance
  • VATS Time Passage During Targeting
  • VATS Damage Reduction
  • VATS Critical Hit Bar Recharge Rate
  • VATS Hit Chance - This does not affect the head. Headshot chance is changed by editing human body part data and I didn't want to hard code it using the plugin.

Credits/Compatibility: I got the settings to change from VATS Tweaks. Most settings are available in this mod and since the settings are applied during game load, VATS Tweaks is no longer compatible.

  • Objects Locked by Perks (Local Leader, Caps Collector, Armorer, Demolition Expert, Gun Nut, Science!)
  • Objects Locked by Magazines (Picket Fences Magazine, Lawn Flamingos)
  • Objects Locked by Factions/Quests
  • Nuka-World Items (Locked by various Nuka-World quests)
  • Wasteland Workshop Tame Siren (Beta wave emitter) 
  • Automatron Workbenches and Robot Parts (includes Nuka-World Robot Parts)

Credits: Shoutout to Robbie922004 for open permissions on Automatron Unlocked which showed me which records needed to be edited to unlock these parts. I just adapted it so it could be unlocked via MCM.


Vendors
  • Increase the number of caps vendors have in order to buy more of your stuff. - You must click the button at the bottom of the page for the changes to take effect and it will take 48 in-game hours.



Fixes

Workshop Items
  • Self-Powered Turrets - Laser Turret, Shotgun Turret, Missile Turret, Spotlight & Heavy Laser Turrets. There is an optional file available that adds a makeshift battery to the crafting recipe, for a bit of lore friendliness. This was added by request.
  • Self-Powered Power Pylon w/Switch & Switch - There is an optional file available that adds nuclear material to the crafting recipe, for a bit of lore friendliness. This was added by request.
  • Power Conduits - Increased Range
  • Doubled Light Radius for Settlement Lights (Brighter Lights) - The lights can be pretty bright depending on what ENB preset and/or other visual mods are used, so there are 2 optional files to make them less bright (just pick one, not both).

Quality of Life
  • Friendly Radstags
  • Removes background blur effect when crafting
  • Power Armor - No aggro/doesn't harm 
  • Some valuable/quest/sentimental items cannot be scrapped and are weightless.
  • Low health screen effects - I got the idea from Better Low Health which has more options. If you want to use it for different settings, just load it after this one.
