- added a terminal option to all subway protectron terminals, to turn off the radio voice loop...since this was a globaly used scene on all subway radios, it will work on all subway stations that will make use of the radio announcer loop in subways...it also has a global value added, which will be checked against when ever the radio voice is to be played again(on cell change, or location change etc.), or in other words, it will stay off until you turn it back on on one of the "networked" protectron terminals
- this enabled me to also fix the self re-initiating southern checkpoint voice, by checking against a custom global value as well...ergo it should stay off now for whenever you decide to return and have it turned off...the terminal message will also check against the global, and correctly display your last state of interaction
Version 0.1
- initial release
Radio Voice Stopper
What this?
A mod to safe you from losing your hearing, by adding a terminal option to the South Boston Checkpoint terminals, allowing you to turn off the blaring voice coming out of the loudspeakers, running for 200 years according to companion comments. No one ever thought to just turn it off, dismantle the emitter, or just use a Fatman on the whole installation? Come on, I don't believe you. If I had a Fatman I would...oh wait, I wouldn't because a Bethesda Dev got their kicks of making non of the upside options available.
It will also make Companions stop doing comments on the situation, and for those that really want to spend the rest of their life in a deaf state, I also added a turn on option to the terminals.
Version 0.2 added the same functionality to all subway station radio announcer loops(Protectron Terminals).
Details?
Well, if you ask:
1. the DN125 terminals, quest, and AO related topics have been edited. I was to lazy to forward custom content for such a small change.
2. two conflicts with UFOP in xEdit. The quest conflict can be ignored since this mod does the same by returning to no DLC standards for the quest. The topic conflict has been incorporated since it was just a typo fix.
3. the edits do not conflict with CC content that make use of the location.
The same happened to the "subway radio voice" quest for the announcer loop.
What do we need?
Base game only.
Will this break Previsibines?
Of course. It shall be well known by now that this blaring radio voice is breaking ears, precombines, and probably hearts as well.
Why you no .esl?
Me no need. You do self.
What happened to the interrogated Chinese spys?
What? How should I know? The voice didn't tell me.
