Bethesda managed to mess this up so badly it's impressive. They managed to get the stock all wrong, and the receiver mesh is hardly accurate. So, we decided to fix this obvious error. The main file includes a new mesh for the receiver to make it more accurate, with an optional ESP to fix the obvious inaccuracies to the weapon form itself, including chambering the gun correctly in .308.
It is possible to use the mesh without the ESP, as it is a direct replacement, if you are using a different combat rifle rebalance mod. The mesh is designed to be compatible with any mods which add new attachments to the weapon.
It is highly recommended to use the mod Combat Rifle Barrel Overhaul as it remakes the vanilla combat rifle barrels to better match the BAR design.
