Ten years since the release of Fuse in 2013, the most disappointing video game developed by Insomniac Games for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, Isabelle Sinclair and her Overstrike 9 team is returning back in the Commonwealth, as she joins the Brotherhood of Steel to defeat the Institute. Also starring Naya Devereaux, Dalton Brooks and Jacob Kimble!
elite combat unit, the Overstrike 9, as of 2287.
Isabelle Sinclair and family relocated to the Capital Wasteland in search of a better life when she was Squire. The ruined city of The Pitt as they inhabited by the predominantly raider population, was subjected to harassment and exploitation by the Brotherhood of Steel. An event known as the First Scourge (aka Project Fuse by The Institute), a result of the Brotherhood's continued assimilation of entire raider livelihoods of The Pitt into the Brotherhood of Steel, inspired Sinclair to join her as a Squire in 2272 and then an Initiate in 2277 to free the Capital Wasteland from the oppression of the Enclave. One of his first assignments under Elder Lyons was during the battle of Adams Air Force Base, where she suffered a bad concussion in the line of duty and had trouble remembering her involvement as a result.
Naya Devereaux is a Brotherhood of Steel-trained Scribe, born and raised on Capital Wasteland. After getting screwed over by the Enclave on a Capital Wasteland job placement that cost her all her savings just to move out there, she ended up in the right place at the right time – the "Great Brotherhood of Steel escape" - to take the Brotherhood of Steel's timely offer of employment, until she was becoming the part of Overstrike 9 team under Paladin Burgess and Elder Lyons. By 2287, Naya Devereaux now serves as a Scribe in the Commonwealth under Elder Maxson's command, remote hacking
into the Institute systems during combat on behalf of ground forces, tracking mission progress, and giving tactical guidance to the Brotherhood of Steel on the ground.
Dalton's skill as a Brotherhood Knight and knowledge of Institute's and Enclave's secret programs were invaluable to the Brotherhood of Steel both before and after the Battle of Adams Air Force Base. After Adams Air Force Base's destruction, he continues working with the Overstrike 9, a specialty recon squad within the Brotherhood of Steel. He played a pivotal support role during the Battle of Boston Airport, particularly in its final days, showing off his entire squad fighting super mutants and feral ghouls under extreme pressure. Dalton is also believed to be responsible for the spearheading the Project Fuse, due to his mission to destroy the Institute and its synths.
Jacob Kimble
Rising as a covert operative to become a member of Brotherhood's Overstrike 9 team, Jacob Kimble is one of the central figureheads of the Brotherhood of Steel in the Commonwealth. Though known to have an extensive combat training, Jacob is usually shown in a field command role, providing logistics and important information to the Brotherhood Knights on the ground such as when they can deploy their combat missions; he is still known to occasionally embark on special, usually covert, missions, even personally deploying onto a battlefield with a recon squad when necessary.
Insomniac Games is an American video game developer behind the universally-acclaimed Ratchet and Clank series. In 2013, they developed and released Fuse with Electronic Arts exclusively for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, which is a co-op third person shooter influenced by Ubisoft's Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series. Sadly, fuse received bad reviews and it was deemed a commercial failure, because its poor technical issues and weak writing, as Insomniac continued to develop its better video game titles, starting with the 2016's reboot of Ratchet and Clank and Marvel's Spider-Man in 2018.
