Make them like bosses instead of spongy punching bags. Spell Perk Item Distributor is required.

Now they can recover crippled legs in about 10 seconds. By default, this mod allows giant creatures to recover in 10 seconds if crippled on both legs, and in 20 seconds if crippled on one leg. This means that if both legs are crippled, recover one leg after 10 seconds, then recover one leg after 20 seconds. Console commands and ini are available.

You can manage this with the ActorType keyword, but this mod won't work for feral ghouls etc. as they can't recover crippled limbs. By default, these enemies are supported. "Deathclaw, Mirelurk queen, Behemoth, Fog crawler, Hermit crab" (+ Yao guai, Gulper, Angler, Rad scorpion, Super mutant)
If you want to add Yao guai, do this.
