OVERVIEW
Damage overhauls such as SCOURGE + True Damage, BLD, etc are all fantastic mods that add a lot of danger and excitement to combat.
|
However, depending on your settings, high level or "boss" enemies such as Mirelurk Queens, Deathclaws, Behemoths, etc. can end up feeling like a pushover at times.
|
This mod restores a bit of that danger/power/intimidation to those enemies.

BREAKDOWN
A new perk, "FORTITUDE_NPC##" is automatically applied to all creatures in whatever module you use. This perk currently reduces all weapon damage taken by 35% (or 50% if you choose that option)
This is fully compatible with any and all mod-added or modified versions of these creatures, as long as they use the proper race. This does not currently support custom modded races, but they can be added in on request as a patch.
|
FORTITUDE is completely safe to install mid-game. It should be safe to uninstall mid-game, but you’ll never want to go back ;)

INSTALLATION: (IMPORTANT!)
As of v3.0, FORTITUDE uses a more streamlined modular installation system. Follow these steps. Be sure to uninstall all previous versions!
|
1. Download the main plugin. You need this! The modules do nothing without it.
|
2. Download whatever modules you want. They work in any order, or any combination, except that you must choose ONE "Giant Enemies" module, not both, and you must choose ONE "Super mutant" module, not both.
|
3. That's it. Enjoy!

Long and Preemptive FAQ:
Spoiler:
Show
I don't like tanky enemies.
I don't either. This just makes them a little more durable.
|
I don't use SCOURGE, can I use this in vanilla?
Yes.
|
Is this compatible with-
Yes.
|
ESL/ESP-L Version?
Hopefully very soon, need to figure out a thing or two first. I'll upload an ESL/ESP-L version when I've fixed it, or if someone else creates it (you'll be credited if you do)
As of version 2.0, the mod is ESL Flagged.
|
Where does this go in my load order?
Literally anywhere.
|
Did I just install a mod to make strong enemies weaker, to then make them stronger again?
Yes. Yes you did.
|
The damage reduction feels too high/too low.
Let me know in the posts tab and I'll upload an alternate version with your suggestion. Or better yet, make it yourself and I'll upload it here with permission and credit you :)
|
Why are hermit crabs not included?

Because I felt they were tanky enough as-is. If you'd like me to upload another version that adds hermit crabs to the list, let me know in the posts tab.
|
Can you add X from Y to this mod?
Yes. Request it in the posts tab.
|
Can you do the opposite of this mod and make X enemy take more damage?
Sure. Request it in the posts tab and I'll see what I can do.
|
This doesn't work.
