About this mod
a pretty easy mod that adds in a set of invisible t60 power armor pieces...
- Permissions and credits
So after a quick search on the Nexus i found no way to fix that and decided to take matters into my own hands.
So with this here mod i present to you a quick and dirty solution to a problem most players dont have: Invisible Power armor pieces!!!
In truth its just a small ESP file that adds all 6 pieces of the T60 Power armor to the game... i simply deleted the models for them using FO4Edit and it somehow works. You can put them on Power armor and it shows up as usual... but as soon as you get in they are gone and you can see your worn frame in all its glory.
Also i didnt touch the original T60 parts so nobody has to be afraid of them turning invisible (i hope). And the invisible pieces i added should have all the mods available that the T60 has to offer too... though i wouldnt bet that the jetpack works on an invisible torso.
So far they can only be gained through a console command:
1. open console
2. type "help invisible 4 armo)
3. type "player.additem XXX YY" XXX--> the code for the armor pieces (should look something like xx000001) YY--> number of items you want to add
4. enjoy your PA frame
Of course since this is my first mod i expect bugs and problems to appear but with my limited experience i doubt ill be able to fix them without help.
Known issues:
-the invisible helmet makes your head dissapear (not so much a problem for the elite PA but on the strident frame from radical it looks weird)
-of course without a model to attach to the lights of the helmet dont work either... in first person you get light but its the standard PA light, no matter if you turned it bright or red or anything and in third person it shines to the side and once again doesnt display any colour
-the pieces probably cant be repaired so id suggest pairing them with a mod like indestructible power armor to prevent that from being an issue
on the plus side this mod only uses base game assets and should therefore be highly compatible with everything.
Id be happy for any suggestions about what i could fix or improve and besides that this mod is free for anyone to use as they see fit... anyone with more experience in modding probably wont need this anyway since it took a noob like me only about 5 minutes to make.
Also the frame shown in the images is not included, its part of the mentioned radical mod
if just one person actually finds this mod useful id have reached my goal already
