Introduction:

This is an edit of the 2016 mod: Vault 81 - Timed Mole Rat Disease (60 minutes) - its author Spherikal stated full permission to do whatever - so credit to them. I multiplied the 60 minutes into weeks and added an esl-flag. I put 4 options in the zip to choose from - 4, 6, 8 & 10 weeks (if my maths is correct). ONLY INSTALL ONE! Note I don't have a save-file from before Vault 81 and just assuming original mod works - which is not a huge leap of faith as it's just a single duration stat change anyway. But if you're about to do the "Hole in the Wall" quest I'd welcome feedback on how well it works!

Game logic and mod rationale:
The molerat disease "dilemma" always felt too forced, and the annoyance of making the selfless choice isn't just a permanent loss of 10 HP but a permanent pill icon! Several mods variedly tackle this but, imho, they all feel a bit cheaty or workaround-like. In my solution you still suffer quite a while so it doesn't feel cheaty, but eventually simply recover so the annoying pill icon (and -10 HP) go away without needing to do or make anything. My logic is whilst a 23rd century vault-dweller mightn't have immunity, our Sole Survivor is peak age and from a healthier, robust above-ground era. Still, it's a nasty illness taking our hero a month or two to get over. And here's a fun fact: while the disease is supposedly "permanent" without the cure, the actual vanilla preset is 999 days if my maths is correct (the duration counter seems to be in seconds) so it was never really permanent!

How about shorter, or esl-flag the original, or (insert any other idea here)..?
No to all. I just did this for myself and sharing for others. If you want shorter use the original & sleep it off for a few days. And as original author is already very kind with permissions, I feel doing shorter or esl-flagging theirs is stepping on toes too much. And there's many other molerat cures/fixes.

Installation:
Probably ok to install any point before entering Vault 81 for the first time, or at least before starting its quest "Hole in the Wall". Not sure if it'd work if you install after getting infected but if stuck try player.additem 00055f10 to add another cure (see wiki page link below for more console commands).

Compatibility and Load Order:
Doesn't conflict with UFO4P (at least not v2.1.3 I'm still using). Might conflict with any other molerat disease mod or any game-balancing mod which might make changes to molerat disease so maybe try loading after them, otherwise load anywhere (so might as well stick it in somewhere early).

Credits & Permissions:
I can hardly restrict an edit of another freely given mod, so credit original modder Spherikal - but please mention little old me too, Streetyson.
