For a long time now, I've been looking for a way to fix broken radio stations. I posted a janky console fix on Reddit a while back, but that didn't feel good enough. What I really wanted was a good way to do it on-demand, in-game, without having to look stuff up anymore. And then, after far more hours than I'd care to admit wrestling with the F4CK, I finally figured it out. After 10 years of Fallout 4, finally, there's an actual viable bugfix for dead radio stations. And now it's even lore-friendly! Introducing...

Vault-Tec Radio Attenuator (VaTeRaAt™)

Features at a glance:
  • A copy of the "Vault-Tec Radio Attenuator" holotape can be found in each of the original Commonwealth vaults (75, 81, 95, 111, 114).
  • Another copy of the holotape can be found in Vault-Tec Headquarters.
  • More copies can be crafted at a chemistry station if you have Science! and Hacker perks at 1 rank each.
  • The holotape includes options to force-restart the "scene" that controls a specific radio station.
  • The options are loaded programmatically by examining the list of installed mods. This means that the mod doesn't have any actual parent requirements, and you'll never see options for radio stations from mods you don't have.
  • While this is a bugfix, the in-game functions of the holotape are presented in a lore-friendly way.

Currently supported radio stations:

If a station was added after the initial release, then the first version in which it was available is listed in italics.
As of version 1.1, the menu has been organized into sections as shown below, and alphabetized, because that got out of hand really quickly! LOL
Several stations also moved to new sections in v1.2.

As more stations are added from other mods, the list here and on the Reddit post will be updated. Please post new radio mods in the comments to get them added in future versions!

If you're updating to a new version, then as of v1.2, you can use the Re-Scan List of Stations on the holotape's main menu to reinitialize the mod's scripting according to your current mod loadout!
