When I saw this in the show, I lost my mind. Why? Because Nukelanta is a Fallout-based LARP I've been attending for years. After a change of ownership, it's recently been renamed Carolina Radlands. More on that in a moment. The Assaultron stuck in the sand near the beginning of Episode 2 of the show is a costume made by a Nukelanta player who also wore it at Dragoncon and other conventions. They sold the costume a couple of years ago, and seeing it appear in the show, positioned so the Nukelanta decal on the leg is clearly visible, is an incredible surprise. So to commemorate that logo, and by extension Nukelanta, making a canon appearance, I've done a quick texture edit to put it in Fallout 4.
If a Fallout LARP sounds like a good time to you, we'd* love to have you at Carolina Radlands. The ranged combat is Nerf, the melee combat is basically Dagorhir, and the RP is fantastic fun. It's held near Aiken, SC and the next event is May 17-19, 2024. For more info, check out the Carolina Radlands facebook group.
*I am not an owner, admin, or employee of carolina radlands. That "we" refers to the players.
Appears in full color on regular NPC assaultrons. Automatron-created assaultrons will have it as a darkened color relative to the paint.
