About this mod

Ever get sick of having the Perks Tab in your PipBoy flooded with a bunch of minor side Perks given by magazines while scrolling through the list? Then this is the mod for you! It takes all of the Perks granted from vanilla magazines, and places them into their own Magazines Tab in the PipBoy!

WARNING: All magazines you've collected before installing this mod must be in your inventory at the time of installation, or the mod will be unable to count the number of magazines you've already found. It cannot count magazines you've placed in storage.

SIDE NOTE
You do not need YAE in order to use this mod; it's a completely standalone mod that should work by itself without it, even if you decide to use a different Skill System. It just exists to make the Perks Tab less crowded, and organize all the magazine Perks into their own place.

Take special note that I only addressed Perks that were granted to the Player by magazines. If a magazine provided you with anything else, this mod doesn't touch it. I also changed the descriptions for some of these Perks, as the almighty Bethesda kept them rather short. In the future, I may consider churching up all the descriptions with the pizzazz and flair that I'm known for, but for right now, I'm just getting the mod out there, and looking for feedback on it.

FOREWORD
Making this wasn't really something I planned on doing. I had finished up making a patch for PipBoyTabs to work with my main mod, You Are Exceptional, and since my knowledge of how PBT works was still fresh in my head, I went ahead and made this, since the hundreds of Perks YAE adds tends to get thrown in with random stuff I you might not really looking for information on. I found it a bit frustrating, anyway.

If you found MPT interesting, check out my other works, specifically You Are Exceptional, an intricate Skills System acting as the spiritual successor of Be Exceptional and You Are SPECIAL, which does it's own thing; mainly by adding over 200 custom Perklines to the game.

HOW IT WORKS
I altered all of the Magazine Perks to be hidden, and instead signal an ActorValue to be used by PipBoyTabs, within their own Magazines Tab, which is also located underneath in the PipBoy. For all intents and purposes, you'll still have the Perks as you know them, you'll just not be able to see them as they were presented in the Perks Tab.

Magazine Perks Tab also works retroactively on established saves. This means when you load up your save, it will detect all your currently owned magazines, then assign the descriptions and Ranks of those Perks to the Magazines Tab for easy reference.

MOD COMPATIBILITY
I don't think too many mods directly alter the Perks that magazines give, so MPT should be compatible with almost every other mod. I didn't actually touch the magazines themselves, so there should be no interference with other mods that might move their locations or something like that. MPT also doesn't bother with any Magazines Perks that weren't directly placed for your view by default in the Perks Tab. There's a lot of magazines with Perks that added things like new tattoos and hairstyles, but those weren't shown to the Player, so there was no reason for MPT to tamper with them. I'll do my best to make patches for other mods that provide magazines as people make me aware of them.

MOD INSTALLATION
I strongly recommend using Mod Organizer, but you do you. So long as Magazine Perks Tab is below PipBoyTabs and the main game files, anywhere should be fine, but just in case your a visual learner:

FAQ
I just figured I would add this section to address anything that people may ask me about the mod later down the line.

Would you consider doing patches for custom magazines added by other mods?
Yes, I could do this. Adding in the magazines wouldn't be particularly difficult, but it would take some time. So whether I do it right away or not would depends on how large of a catalog of magazines that were added. Although, as mentioned earlier, not all magazines add visible Perks, so chances are that a lot of those custom magazine Perks can be ignored. I'm definitely interested in supporting this further, if it's something people like.

CREDITS
Not a super long list this time around, but that doesn't mean that anyone listed below isn't important!

Neanka
The creator of PipBoyTabs and various other projects that many of us use! This (and my mod author status) definitely wouldn't be possible with them and their mod motivating me to push myself to my very limits, by learning to program, so that I could mess around with Fallout 4's somewhat delicious spaghetti code.
