OVERVIEW
Fallout 4 has a good selection of weapons to pick from but I felt like the combat rifle (never) stood out, especially since the weapon design and purpose was made to be very simple and generic. Yet despite that it's probably the most versatile and useful weapon in the game, being able to take on the role of a multipurpose rifle, being good in any situation.
This mod expands the combat rifle by adding alternatives to the combat rifle, each with their own personality.
 
CONTENT
Every gun is in one way or another a variant of the combat rifle with a different set of receivers and magazines.
The mod includes 5 new weapons, each having different performance, spawning at their own levels and using their own ammo types:



- Soviet Submachine Gun (Level 5)
This rifle uses 7.62mm Tokarev, making it almost a submachine gun. With decently increased fire rate and a wide spread, this weapon shreds anything in it's way

- Co-Battle Rifle (Level 8)
Formerly a Battle Rifle, this .30-06 weapon got it's name from coopeative operation between gunmen in the heat of battle. Some consider this gun to be the closest alternative to the standard combat rifle because of their similar performance despite the Co-Battle rifle boasting slightly higher performance ratings during initial field testing.

- Paratrooper Rifle (Level 12)
It was meant to be used as more of a midrange precision rifle instead of an automatic one, allowing parachuters and air force soldiers to hit their target from far away. Despite being a cheap way to supply a large number of paratroopers, it surpassed the war market and became an iconic civilian rifle.

- Combat Light Machine Gun (Level 15)
Costly but powerful, it has reduced fire rate, increased damage and uses the more expensive .303 caliber. Although formidable, it proved to be too heavy for conventional use and therefore never got developed enough to support more than stick mags and a proper scope rail.

- Counter Assault Rifle (Level 25)
Late into the war, ideas of adapting the Power Armor issued Assault Rifles for normal carry began developing. While noticeably different, the Counter Assault Rifle took form and was mostly used as a defensive measure against any enemy assault units. Chambered in .303, this improved variant of the co-battle rifle still packs as much of a punch as the Power Armor counterpart yet being condensed in a smaller package for more practical use.


The combat rifle and all the new weapons have 11 (+4 uniques) new attachment options:
- 6 new barrels
- 4 new stocks
- 1 new scope
- 1 new muzzle

Prototype PCR
The brotherhood of steel have been tinkering in their power armor hangar with some new equipment. They've infused plasma into normal bullets, making the gun deal both ballistic and energy damage!



Double Trouble
Someone thought that adding another magazine on ejection port was a good idea. Regardless of how high they were when they did it, the gun somehow actually works. Causing one bullet to push the other out the barrel, the combined damage is slightly lowered but it still shoots twice per trigger pull.
Found in Vault 75, it was used as target practice on the combat simulation course.



Olympus
After the bombs fell, the mayor hid himself in the Boston mayorial shelter. He took his prized olympus, hoping for a radioactive zombie outbreak. Unfortunately for him, he never lived to experience anything like what he hopes for and suffered a rather sad fate. The weapon has never been shot once since the bomb fell and has remained hanged on a wall for so long.



Para-Social Rifle
Made as a way to scare away strangers, the Para-Social Rifle was made by someone afraid of general social interaction. Being a mix between isolation and boredom, this heavily tuned Paratrooper rifle obliterates it's target using magnetic acceleration of 2mm EC rounds. The weapon is found in the basement of the Electrical Hobbyist Club


 
COMPATIBILITY
This mod does not change the vanilla combat rifle in any way, it only adds new combat rifles and attachments to any combat weapon that has the combat rifle keyword. It is still fully compatible with any remesh or replacer mods for the combat rifle.
The mod uses vanilla combat rifle textures. This means that any combat rifle retexture will affect all the new guns, for better or for worse.
The sounds are all vanilla, any mod that edits vanilla weapon sounds will possibly affect this mod as well.
Any mod that adds combat rifle attachments is fully compatible with all the new guns.
