About this mod

When shooting an enemy in the head with a firearm, the helmet is knocked off by the impact and is sent flying before dropping to the ground.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
When the player lands a headshot on an enemy wearing headgear, the headgear will be knocked off and sent flying to the ground. This effect applies only to headshots made by the player. The headgear is instantly knocked off upon impact, with no delay, as the effect is processed directly through F4SE.

In the MCM, you can adjust the probability, force, and angle at which the headgear is knocked off. Additionally, you can manage the Exception Filter Registration directly from the MCM menu to prevent certain headgear from being knocked off.

Exception Filter Registration
If certain headgear appears awkward when knocked off or floats in mid-air, you can prevent it from being knocked off entirely using the "Exception Filter Registration" feature, which can be found in the MCM.

To use this feature:
1. Set the 'Exception Filter Registration' option in the MCM to ON
2. Close the MCM, which will open the container menu
3. Place the headgear you want to prevent from being knocked off into the container
Once the headgear is placed in the container, it will no longer be knocked off. To cancel the registration, simply take the headgear back from the container

Version 2.1 Update
You can now use the "Exception Filter Registration" feature in MCM to register headgear that should not be knocked off. The usage is as described above.
If a headshot knocks off a balaclava, it could look awkward or unintentionally funny. The mod cannot automatically identify if a piece of headgear is a balaclava, so this feature allows users to manually set exceptions. This is done directly through the MCM menu, without the need to edit text files.

+ 2.1.1 Update
The 'Headgear Removal Without Physics' option has been removed from the MCM. After testing this option, I found that it was unable to properly identify headgear that would float in the air, contrary to my expectations. Additionally, some headgear that was not problematic also interfered with the mod’s functionality. With the introduction of the filter feature in version 2.1, please manually register any problematic headgear you encounter.
If you have registered many filters in version 2.1, it’s recommended to back up the files in the F4SE\Plugins\_skipFilter folder in the mod’s directory before installing this update.

I don’t speak English very well, and all of the text was written with the help of ChatGPT. If you find any MCM terms or phrasing that seem off, please feel free to edit them as needed.
