About this mod

Here is a small, one-level city plan for Oberland Station that extends down to the river. It's meant for use early in your Sim Settlements 2 playthrough, and accommodates 19 settlers (including the Powells, Franklin and the two settlers already there).

The Sole Survivor has started rebuilding the Commonwealth, convincing people to settle in various spots throughout the wastes. A farming family, the Powells, have come to live at Oberland Station, and they’ve decided to build their house in a scenic spot right beside the river. 

Alex, the patriarch, wants to try to bag some crabs from the river, while his wife Julia would like to continue her alchemical work while offering clinical services to the settlers. Their daughter, the precocious Katie, loves playing by the river with her cats - while she’s supposed to be watching the water collectors. Franklin the Martian can be convinced to set up shop, if you ask nicely! These four are available as settlers (along with the special building plan for their house and Franklin's shop) once you complete the SS2 quest called It Came From Planet X!

Two women have already started to homestead the switching station - one has taken up the mayoral position; the other is a crack shot with a rifle, and spends her time protecting the settlement. 

With room for 13 more people (for a total of 19), this is a great one-level starter plan for your SS2 playthrough. Note that you will most likely want to expand into the south east corner of the settlement with some more Industrial plots, as well as the Chapter 2 and 3 plots that you feel are necessary. 

DISCLAIMER:
I have no idea if the building plans I chose for each plot will be the ones you see in your game (I’m unsure if the Designer’s Choice option is currently working properly). If you want the settlement to look as intended, you can check the photos and the list below (you’ll also need the addon packs listed).

With the latest patch for Sim Settlements 2 (3.4.3), the Designer's Choice glitch (where it would ignore the city planner's plot choices) is on the mend!

This single-level city plan should build properly, automatically choosing the exact building plans that I intended. You'll still need to unlock sanitation and power transfer plots through the quests for those plots to build the right plan (or turn the 'Bypass Locks' setting ON in the MCM for SS2). You'll also need the same addon packs installed in your game that I used to build this plan - you can see which ones are needed in the list below. 

Or, if you just want to use the layout and choose for yourself which plans get built, you can turn 'Designer's Choice' OFF in the MCM, and select the building plan from the plot's ASAM sensor. OR, let the settlers decide for themselves and see what you get! Lots of options!
