Update: And we're back! I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, folks, and rather embarrassed to have released a broken mod, but hopefully now the disappearing letters should be a thing of the past, thanks again to ChuckYufarley!

First, a special thanks to ChuckYufarley - without their kind, patient and informative advice, this mod would never have seen the light of day, and all the moreso now for the difficulties I encountered. Thank you again, so much!

There are many, many wonderful sign mods on the Nexus, almost all of which are constants in my modlist as someone who loves to build. However, time and time again I find myself wanting something a little more specific, or even to be able to create my own signage for my communities - and that's where this mod was born.

TIYS uses decals for lettering in three different types of fonts, offered in two sets each (a painted or wooden texture) as well as a variety of symbols offered in the same sets. Finally, it offers a couple of nondescript sign backings, though the symbols and characters should work just as well on any flat walls. Using these, I'm hoping you can create the sign of your dreams!

A few things of note:

This mod REQUIRES Settlement Menu Manager as well as the three official Workshop DLC addons.

Because the character sets/symbols are flat decals, they can be a bit finicky to place and will seem to 'float' a bit oddly if placed on a surface that isn't flat. They also can take on a bit of an odd 'angle' when you try to look at them side-on, but I didn't find it overly problematic. I highly suggest using a mod like Place Everywhere for ease of use with this mod.

With that in mind, I kept the building costs low in this mod, since placing and replacing the letters might take practice and it is a purely decorative addition with no gameplay functionality.

A new update option; unfortunately, the letters cannot snap flush to the walls using the auto workshop snap points, meaning there will always be a small gap between the letter and the wall. It's not super noticeable, but if you're like me and don't mind having to be more precise in your placement, download the optional 'no snap' file! It's just the meshes, so just merge it with the original mod install.

Finally, I am very much an amateur modder, so while I've tried to keep things neat, it's very likely there are things I've missed like the order of the letters, or maybe the speculars could be a bit better made, things like that. I may come back and tweak things depending on feedback, but given this mod was made in about a week of flu-induced, homebound madness, I'll probably take a break first. :)

Thank you all very much for reading. Enjoy!
