Changes:
- Arrow projectile type instead of lobber
Necessary because values like Gravity and Range seemed to have no effect on the throwing arc
- 10k -> 20k Range (Unofficial Patch has it set to 15k, will just override)
Not entirely sure how it factors (got tired of restarting the game and making changes), but increased just in case it interfered with making long throws
- While the Gravity value remains unchanged, the throwing arc is much straighter
For example, if you have a visible throwing arc, you'd have to aim it really far to have the end point be out of view
- Speed remains unchanged, but will override the Unofficial Patch (has it to 1.4k instead of the default 2.5k)
This is necessary because it seems arrow projectiles are muuuch slower; it was going comically slow during testing
- Doubled the collision radius of the projectile
Necessary because the actual smoke grenade object that gets spawned when the projectile expires (more on that below) ended up getting clipped below terrain or inside walls; this makes sure the projectile stops earlier, giving the smoke grenade room around itself when spawning in
- No longer has a timer to "explode"
Will immediately create an artillery smoke grenade (the aforementioned spawned object) when the projectile impacts a surface instead of bouncing around
Drawback of this is that you can no longer pickpocket it into someone's pants to have them turn into a homing signal for artillery, but you won't have to do that anymore (see below once again)
- Throwing a smoke grenade is now "silent" and the explosion is "quiet"
Incredibly dumb that the throw gives away your position; same for the detonation, but makes sense to just let it be "quiet" so enemies start wondering why there is a smoking flare next to them
- Removed the stupid gun/bullet(?) sound when throwing a smoke grenade
- Bug fix: removed the "force" from the explosion
I highly recommend using the mod Configurable Artillery for artillery enjoyers.
