A list of mods and tools I use that change fallout 4 into a pretty fun Experience. I have provided a texture merge that GREATLY improved my FPS.

if you are really new to modding then look at The Midnight Ride, or A StoryWealth. i run the game in 3840x2160 and i only really get stutters in downtown Boston thanks to PRP .74, X-Cell, VRAMr & Cathedral.
I use Fortect to fix DLL errors, its good 👍. there is also Razer cortex Glary Utilities & CCleaner.
CTRL + F , ** to find the latest editions to the list. i have been working on something special.

BSA Browser - adds a right click feature to unpack bsa/ba2 files or you can use Unpackrr, apparently you don't have to worry about ba2 limit with buffout and X-cell, just be aware of it.
Cathedral Assets Optimizer - for packing large loose mods for efficiency - YouTube Video - should be using this on large loose textures (and ONLY textures dont pack other files like scripts and materials).
Bodyslide - i will link a YouTube Video that i referenced often.
FO4 Crash Log Autoscanner - handy tool for diagnosing certain issues **
Wrye Bash - another handy tool, use plugin checker to check what mods need cleaning/editing**
PJM's Precombine - Previs Patching Scripts - run this after you have installed everything & create seed patch **
VEFS - use this when everything is installed to generate your own faces or edit npc's not to use facegen at all.**

Previsibines Repair Pack - install branch 74, then generate your own patch with FO4Check_Previsbines.pas script, took about 55min for my pc to generate and fixed pretty much all the PRP issues and gained noticable FPS
i also use Reshade - & ReShade Integration with NEXT GEN RESHADE - and i use GVCM to fine tune. 
when starting a new game, try fine zoom, weapon wheel even bullet time and if it they arent working then you need to save and reload(best delete previous save), also if you get stuck on a white screen during the intro, pressing enter usually lets you progress, i usually exit the game via QQQ console command or via task manager.
the train tunnel to nuka world has a prp issue but i didnt think it was that big a deal since its a 1 and done for me in that area, i will look into using PRP depending on how much of a pain in the ass it is to patch.
prp issues pretty much fixed
if you have serious problems and can't figure out why, the method of troubleshooting i use is this:
Turn everything off but the mod you are having trouble with, leave it active.
go down the list turning 5-10 mods on at a time until the problem present's itself.
then you can start to troubleshoot with the mod or mods that are conflicting.
between that, crashlogger and Collective Modding Toolkit , you should be able to find the problem
sometimes errors can occur when downloading large mods leading to you not knowing why the mod isnt working. this happened to me with gritty interiors and a couple others because of my limited internet speed, i use IDM to correct that.
I use Fortect to fix DLL errors, its good 👍. there is also Razer cortex Glary Utilities & CCleaner.
CTRL + F , ** to find the latest editions to the list. i have been working on something special.

Previsibines Repair Pack - install branch 74, then generate your own patch with FO4Check_Previsbines.pas script, took about 55min for my pc to generate and fixed pretty much all the PRP issues and gained noticable FPS
i also use Reshade - & ReShade Integration with NEXT GEN RESHADE - and i use GVCM to fine tune.
when starting a new game, try fine zoom, weapon wheel even bullet time and if it they arent working then you need to save and reload(best delete previous save), also if you get stuck on a white screen during the intro, pressing enter usually lets you progress, i usually exit the game via QQQ console command or via task manager.
if you have serious problems and can't figure out why, the method of troubleshooting i use is this:
Turn everything off but the mod you are having trouble with, leave it active.
go down the list turning 5-10 mods on at a time until the problem present's itself.
then you can start to troubleshoot with the mod or mods that are conflicting.
between that, crashlogger and Collective Modding Toolkit , you should be able to find the problem
sometimes errors can occur when downloading large mods leading to you not knowing why the mod isnt working. this happened to me with gritty interiors and a couple others because of my limited internet speed, i use IDM to correct that.
