LORE:
It's never fully explained how the Minutement still have so much manpower despite many having deserted or being wiped out. Well this mod aims to answer that question.
With many of the Minutemen having left in disgrace after the death of Colonel Hollis during the Quincy massacre, they quickly rejoined after the Sole Survivor and Garvey's regiment reclaimed the castle.
But how did they manage to retake the castle despite being severely underpowered, outmanned, outgunned, and ill-equipped? Simple. Some of the Minutemen, particularly female volunteers, had been exposed to fatal doses of radiation, which should have otherwise killed them. Instead, it made them stronger, turning them into super soldiers.
Having witnessed their impressive feats of strength and durability, many were motivated to return to the Commonwealth, ready, willing, and able to cleanse it of all enemies, both great and small.
Known Issues:
- It may be difficult to enter dialogue with some of them and open the trade menu. If that happens, open the console menu (~) and use the setscale command (IE setscale 0.2-0.5) to make them smaller. Alternatively, you can make your own character larger
- Changing their size may also affect pathfinding, causing a glitch where they get stuck. If that happens, simply sleep, wait, or fast travel and return later, or as previously suggested, make them smaller or click on them in the console menu to copy their ID and move somewhere else before teleporting them to you location using "Movetoplayer" (You will not need to enter their ID manually if you have already selected them)
- Their size will make them easier targets, which is why I changed their health to make them stronger
A few final notes to end on. I would suggest downloading the following mods for a more immersive and diverse experience:
- We Are The Minutemen - Minutemen CC Paint Combined (Weapons-Armor-Power Armor) at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community
- Minutemen Rearmament - AR15s for Militarized Minutemen (Militarised Minutemen in BrE) at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (Note that I am making my own overhaul of this mod currently, so if you would rather have a weapon that one-shots every enemy because you are playing on Survival difficulty, then use it instead.)
- FCOM - Fallout Commander at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community (Also making a few tweaks to this mod, so if you prefer having an army of literal Amazons towering over their male counterparts, then by all means, feel free to download it instead)
