Avast ye, Matey!
This is an ESL-flagged overhaul of Galejro's USS Constitution Resurrected that aims to make it more immersive. The specifics are as follows:
Main Changes
- The USS Constitution is now maintained by a new minor faction: the Sea Dogs. Taking inspiration from Fallout: London's Jack Tars, the Sea Dogs are Boston's kinder sea enthusiasts when compared to the raiders at Libertalia. The Sea Dogs are varyingly friendly - trading with the player character and acting as ferrymen, maintaining the functionality of Galjero's original mod. Whereas 'Jack Tar' is associated with the British Navy, 'Sea Dog' is closer tied to that of the USA.
- The cannons have all been renamed to 'Cannon' as, although funny, some of the nicknames of said cannons were a little too eye-catching.
- The flintlock pistol added by the original mod, being unfinished, has been set to 'Unplayable,' but may still be seen equipped by the Sea Dogs. The cartridge rifle has not been changed and maintains functionality.
Flags
- In the original mod, the USS Constitution flies the flags of every vanilla faction - this implies either a 'supporting all sides' position or an otherwise unclear neutrality. Likewise, the prewar American flag is flown, which is far too clean to not stand out.
- The USS Constitution now flies the Jack of the United States of America, the flag of the New England Commonwealth and Boston Yacht Club, and the flag flown on the foremast of the real-life USS Constitution.
- The American flag being flown has been replaced with a new one: the Jolly Doggy.
NPCs
- All NPCs have had the 'Sea Dog' prefix added to reflect the lore.
- Generic Sea Dogs primarily wear Far Harbour outfits with a small variety of seafaring hats.
- Outfit records have been tweaked to maintain compatibility with clothing overhauls - I.E. the Helmsmen will no longer wear Hancock's outfit, but instead a copy.
- Junior Officers have been removed as they served and had no implied purpose - this makes the Powder Monkeys stand out a bit more as the uniquely juvenile members of the Sea Dogs.
Future Plans
Written lore in the form of notes and/or terminal entries
Tweaking of the aid items in the original mod
Maybe new voicelines? This would be fun, but I don't really know
any voice-actors and I'm on a teacher's salary (not a lot).

Attempting to patch the original mod's bugs
A Note on Bugs: Any bugs from the original mod upon initial release of this overhaul do remain - I have not yet attempted to patch any of them. For instance, many users (myself included) report sails sometimes appearing when the ship is elsewhere - travelling with the USS Constitution from its original position (by the Castle) to Bunker Hill is one possible fix.
