Yes. You read that right. CAP has a solicitation subsystem now! :)

This is a small demo of the all-new player solicitation subsystem in Crime And Punishment. Why? Because. It thematically fits into the game world and it fits into the world that CAP is trying to establish. And you know... a person's gotta make money, any way they can, am I right?

Features a FULL dialogue tree, full of random lines that flow one to the next, covering a whopping 34 unique voice types. What does that mean? It means that literally ANY spawned NPC (in the Commonwealth anyways), can be interacted with as a potential client (Im still toying with adding FH and NW NPC types to this - its just a LOT of f'ing work!). However. this system does exclude uniques such as companions or named NPCs, because, come on... I did edits on 34 voice types as it is! Two for the player and 32 for the NPCs! Can you reasonably ask me to edit hundreds of other voicetypes so you can have your favorite NPC as a client?

I mean, come on... I know you all want Marcy Long and all, but sometimes enough is enough!  And yes, those lines you see Gwenn speaking? Most of them are custom slices of existing dialogue and do NOT exist in the base game, as they do now in CAP.

This subsystem also features it own leveling system that measures your progress of a provider of services. The more you advance, the more caps you can earn.

The system is aware of where you take your clients and the price you will be paid is measured, not only on your level, but also on the location. Is it in a back alley? A settlement? An inn or hotel? Are you rutting on the ground or using an owned/rented bed? There are so many elements involved in augmenting your pay rate, its ridiculous!

This video showcases a completely unlocked provider of services, with all of the options available - yet still being paid pennies! LOL! Oh... if you DO happen to rent a room in an inn or hotel WHILE you have a client with you, the subsystem knows and the client will add the cost of the room to your fees.

I literally think of everything. Except pimps. And bodyguards. Damn it... now I have to go think about that. #FML

About the Solicitation Dress:

I know this will come up. It has come up before in my previous solicitation mod efforts. The dress is for Nora, a tuxedo is for Nate. Are you restricted to this? Not at all! The clothing item you equip is determined by a clothing item located in a formlist. That means, you can create a patch file (or alter this mod in Fo4Edit) to remove that item and put another in it's place. You can even create a slotless wedding ring and put in the formlist, allowing you to wear ANYTHING you want, when soliciting, provided you have the ring on. #ForwardThinkingGoesALongWay

And no, you do NOTtalk to the NPC to solicit them. You don your garb and then press CAPs contextual interaction hotkey - the same one that flips the bird at people or taunts enemies in combat. If a viable client is in front of you, CAP will begin the dialogue sequence on it's own. Its really that simple.

Interesting fact: Crime And Punishment now features over 3600 lines of recorded dialogue! All culled from every available source within the game files. And since there are still a few outstanding items to complete within the mod, that number will most definitely grow past 4000 lines. And that total excludes custom NPCs that are yet to be recorded! It is conceivable that CAP could end up near 5000 lines of dialogue, used in ways that extend your gameplay indefinitely, since CAP is available from game-start, until the moment you stop playing the game forever (or remove the mod).

Voice Actresses and Actors!!!

Crime And Punishment is still in need of vocal talent!!! I need:

2 males for Diamond City Security lines.
1 male who can approximate Abbot (the gruff wall painting fellow in Diamond City).
2 males and 2 females for voicing the various Bounty Hunters.

Seven voices total. If you want to be a part of a game-changing experience, please send me a private message! Honestly, you're going to want to be a part of Crime And Punishment. It's likely it might make Mod of the Month, when it releases, sure, but my goal is to aim for Mod of the Year. I want to able to call it "Unofficial DLC #8". Why #8? Because let's face it, Sim Settlements is obviously unofficial DLC #7 and rightfully so!

    I've a question. In your new update for this, you said you need to wear the ring and click the hotkey that normally flips the bird. For me, it doesn't start a coversation to actually solicite. Is this an error on my part or is there more to this?

      are you using csa mod if so it breaks it i learned after that i dont know

      anyone looking for a fix in the future - 

      removing solicitation ring, disabling mature content and sfx in CaP MCM, quitting to menu, reenabling everything, and giving myself the ring back fixed it

    just stopped working cant get it to restart
    is there a quest in background that stops from getting the quest again till complete or something
    tryed disabling it and reenabling just stopped no reason

    Well I suppose there is a reason now to use those "mods" again xD Nice to see its optional as well. I have seen thru a few of your videos that stalkers will also be an option, will they be a lot more interactive this time around? I remember for RSE they would usually just crouch and just stay there looking towards your direction until you fell asleep nearby in a bed. Although I am not sure if that was a mod conflict on my side for them not moving.

    Either way, I haven't played Fallout at all waiting for your mod xD. Keep it up this is looking great honestly :D. I am sure this will def be a mod to forever keep on a load order for any new playthrough.

      I still havent given stalkers their due thought, aside from deciding they will be in the mod and they will have more than the usual sneak along behind you thing. What those other options are, I havent decided - Im still too invested in wrapping up other systems (solicitation, player kidnapping and finalizing the bounty hunter executions of captured raider bosses). Once those items are done, then I will turn my attention to the stalkers in earnest.

      Once it releases, I hope CAP lives up to your expectations and you find it was worth the wait.

      Yea, I'm doing the same. Got most of the rest of my mod list ready, just waiting for this to come out. With all the features that are coming to the mod it will make playing FO4 quite dynamic.
      However long it takes, it is definitely worth waiting for

    Wait for your mod so hard btw. So many features that vanilla game is lacking.

      LOL - I have no plans to do that, it was a joke. I mean, it would make a little more depth if you could be mugged/attacked when hooking without some sort of guard around (or a companion in tow), but Im not there at the moment. I just finalized the new dialogue system to include the leveling of the player, by adding in some new dialogue options that only unlock the further your progress into the solicitation subsystem.

      And I've got a few more tricks up my sleeve in this subsystem that I am exploring right now...
