Crime And Punishment - Left For Dead Event and Other Things

It's been a while since the last showcase. Don't take that as a sign that work is slowing or that it has halted. Nothing could be further from the truth! In the last 5 days alone, I have completed three different systems, two of which have video previews, the other I am keeping firmly under wraps for now so as to keep some WOW-factor in store for CAP's eventual release. One of the items completed is obviously this one and the other is the Player Kidnapping Event. I didn't post it here though because stupid me, I left a feature enabled in Advanced Needs 2, my survival mode replacement mod, that makes NPCs randomly go to the bathroom, and wouldn't you know it? While trying to bust out of the Shamrock Taphouse, a silly raider decided to squat down and go pee. Nudity abounds, as does the Niagara level flow. Didn't want to flag a video with nudity, so yeah, didn't post it here - CAP is not about nudity or things of this nature.

But if you really want to see it, I suppose you could go to Crime And Punishment's playlist on Youtube and look for it yourself.  ;-)

Now... about the Left For Dead Event, and another item included in this demonstration:

This is a demonstration of the "Left For Dead" combat surrender event, which is a random outcome during player kidnappings. This also is a showcase of the disguise system's fully functional witness system. While this demo shows you how to resolve the event via disguise and dialogue, you are not limited to this. Simply going where you need to go and wiping everyone out will also complete the quest. And hey, if the stuff that was stolen is no big loss to you, you can just ignore it and after 24 game hours, the quest will just fail and go away (until the next time it happens).

As for the disguise witness system, it highlights how if noone is within line of sight or detection distance, and you commit assault or murder against the faction you are impersonating, it will not ruin your disguise. But the minute you do it with witnesses around... just another example of the complexity and realism that CAP will bring to your game, sooner than later, I would hope!
