About this video

(Mods featured: Lynx Suit by HachiroKureha, Institute Murkwater Base Settlement Blueprint by OpposingFarce and Transfer Settlements - Shareable Settlement Blueprints by CDante.)

Just a boring settlement import video. Skip to the end if you want!

I've hit a snag with this character. My request for Automatron robot weapon arms to be modded as human-wielded weapons (over player arms) was ignored.
Both on Nexus forums and L.L. Nobody responded, so I don't even know if it's possible. But! That's what the Progenitor needs.
Her powers are Apocalypse's powers :D

I know I'm not owed anything and mod authors can do whatever they want, etc. So I'm going a different route until maybe someone comes up with something like it.
The surface lab is being created so my most common (and favorite) character I haven't played in ages can be recreated by the Progenitor ;)

So that's how it works? Interesting, never used these mods, and don't intend to, but interesting.
For your request, it is very hard to to and would require a awful lot of work.

Yep! I only use settlement blueprints because I work too many hours now x_x
What about melee weapons and laser guns over hands or forearms? Not necessarily Automatron :P

I would not use it for the same reason I never download presets or companions mods: I like to keep things my way, but that a really cool mod nonetheless :)
For the weapons, it would be exactly the same, the weapon type/look doesn't matter in this case. You would probably have to edit the .nif, the position of it, etc, and you would have to completely create an animation so your weapon draw doesn't look ridiculous, and probably others parameters I don't know about.

However, it maybe could be possible to turn the weapon mesh into an equipable arm, like the prothesis arms in some mods, and then, create an invisible weapon (like my settlement spawning gun), which is very easy, and then pretend you fire with your arm/weapon, but you'll still have the regular animation of the character drawing the weapon, because removing the weapon mesh makes it invisible, it doesn't remove its animation (you wouldn't be able to use it at all if so).
That's a possible workaround, but you would need to convert the weapon mesh into an equippable armor mesh, and I don't know how you do that in FO4 (If I knew, I would have converted all my weapon meshes into equippable armors so to have visible weapons of all kinds on me).

I think I might know a way! It involves taking a pre-existing mesh and merging it with a new .nif in Outfit Studio.
I've done this before, but only with different clothes .nif's. Some of them go crazy and warp in game. It will take some testing.
Maybe I can try applying weapon meshes to clothing or armor meshes (keeping a backup folder of course). Thanks for the tips :D

Wow!  This is so new to what I do that I can't conceive of how you could even make such a mod!  I'm totally out of my comfort zone here but it's an interesting concept to be sure!

The settlement blueprint import or weapons over arms? I thought I would make a gender-swap character with the same abilities as Marvel's
(X-Men) Apocalypse. Unlimited shapeshifting power! But a little bit of what's in the movie too

The Brotherhood of Steel wishes to know your location ;p
Quite an impressive science lab. Hope you can find some weapon arms!

The Brotherhood of Steel better hope they never encounter this insanely Mary Sue character
I found some futuristic weapons! They're not arms but maybe screenshots can be manipulated

When I use a blueprint, I don't get the falling-from-the-sky items and the sounds, things just materialize in the spot they're supposed to be in.   Looks great, very futuristic.

Mine did too, but I found the MCM menu feature where they fall from top to bottom or rise from the ground
Thanks! Credit goes to OpposingFarce for that amazing blueprint

Neato. I can't help but watch all the pieces fall in place when I do a Blueprint install. It looks like the pieces dropped to the ground kick up a little dust -- probably in the game engine -- but cool. Nice build, very futuristic.

Pity about the weapon. Maybe this Steampunk weapon would be an ok substitute.

Thanks! Those look perfect for a shape-shifted arm weapon
I think I can remove one hand of the Lynx suit and just screenshot edit the rest \o/
