   Because of they way the armour looks, maybe search through some skin textures of
   members in the big lizard families. Maybe even check out some large fish scale textures
   ( like a Sturgeon for e.g. ). Try not to metallizing them a lot... Maybe investigate fururistic
   carbon-nano-fiber'ish surfacing. There are hundreds of amazing brushes available
   in freely distrib archives for Photoshop, but also for other cool painting progs ( like
   Paint Tool SAI ) yet there can be a plug-in allowing Photoshop to use some of them.
   Well I'm gonna stop myself now.

      Thanks for your advice! Still, the metallic texture and feel is what I decided to go with, it already looks much better than the initial bland textures. I'll take your suggestions in consideration for future releases -))
