And yup, tis rather spooky
The camp building is very fun and I like the survival mode aspect. I finally built my own little place last night. That being said I don't spend much time playing although I know Shelley has really been getting into it and playing a lot. For me its a nice diversion and something to enjoy in small does.
I think it will be better with all the things coming in a big update later this year - NPC's and deeper quests, companions you can meet who will stay at your campsite and give out some quests, and from what the last video I saw said private servers and supported modding (you can mod now but its more difficult and can only do with BSA's not loose files ... although if you pack up loose files then it works). No ENB but I found a decent ReShade I am using and tweaking a little as I play.
Like you I encountered muppets but just switched servers. I must remember not to buy games like 76 until they've been out for a year or so
