About this mod

Сompendium of mods that mute some annoying parts of the game. Silent allies, vendors (gold ones too!), event announcers, musical instruments, vending machines, NPCs and more!

Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Playing the game everyday aren't you getting tired of the robot/gold vendors saying all the same lines every 10 seconds? How about all these intrusive announcements in Watoga and some of the particularly annoying characters making their speeches everytime you pass by an event or location? Toy trains go choo-choo all the way while you shop at someone's camp? And don't let me start on companions blabbering all day long... Let's shut 'em up for good, shall we?

Version 2.3 contents

  • SILENCE AiO - All the mods below are now available as one convenient archive. One file to mute them all! (Requested by BorderXer)
  • New! Silent Allies - Leo Petrov, Adelaide, Joey Bello, Steven Scarberry, Granma Junko, Beckett, Sofia Daguerre, Settler Forager, Wanderer, Raider Punk, Doc Hardy, Yasmin Chowdhury, Xerxo, Katherine, Maul and Daphne
  • New! Silent Test Your Metal NPCs - Beatrice and Botsmith Amp
  • New! Silent Encryptid Briefings
  • New! Silent Veracio Cruz (no more AC expeditions briefings)
  • New! Silen Vera Thornberg
  • Silent Mechanical Derby
  • Silent Cooking Station Bots - Cakemaker Mr.Handy and the FO 1st Butcher Bot
  • Silent Chloe the Clown bot
  • Silent One Violent Night briefing
  • Silent Gunther - no more Most Wanted briefings and mid-mission banter

  • Silent Rocket Ceiling Fan
  • Silent Molerat Windchime (Requested by Nioreax)
  • Silent Snow Machine, Inflatable Snowman, Electro-Fireplace 2000 (Requested by Wufaris)
  • Silent Emotes - player emote animations get stuck and repeat more often than not, here's a solution!
  • Silent Powerplants/Back on Beat/Feed the People announcers - no more annoying briefings for these events. (Requested by nefus, sloshhappy)
  • No more Scoreboard music - Damn that's annoying when you need to check it for rewards every now and then!
  • Silent animatronic clown
  • Silent Waving Santa
  • Silent hunger and thirst sounds
  • Silent low health heartbeat sounds
  • Silent Score and rank up sounds
  • Silent Chicken Coop
  • Silent TrainSets - Includes the one that came as a season 2 reward and the Nuka Cola trainset from atomic shop. No more choo-choo at people's camps where it annoys you to no end while you shop (requested by mepradayounada)
  • Silent Deathray bugzapper - It's a cool lighting device for your camp but hell it's an annoying one with its constant "bbzzzzzzt!". Also works with Raider Tent bugzapper (Requested by BorderXer)
  • Silent Gauntlet/Ripper idle humming
  • Silent Player Character's grunts (Huffing and puffing sounds you hear when you get hit, take fall damage or get overencumbered)
  • Silent Athena vendor
  • Silent musical instruments (No more annoyance while in camps and towns!)
  • Silent player vending machines (Mutes music that plays when you use the vendor including Red Rocket, Tipsy Tom and Slocum's Joe vendors)
  • Silent PITA (child from Vault 79)
  • Silent Vendor Bots (pretty self-explanatory. Includes Sunny)
  • Silent Gold Vendors (only the recurring phrases from Regs at Vault 79 and Samuel at Foundation)
  • Silent Watoga Announcements (WATOGA HIIIIIGH WISHES YOU HAPPY HA... SHUT UP!!!)
  • Silent Melody Larkin (particularly hated that one because of the voice. Also, I encountered a recurring bug recently where she just won't shut up for a week straight at every log-on telling me about damn "swwwwarrrmin' verrrmin'" at some church). Does not affect any lore-related speeches now. (Requested by BorderXer)

Installation
1. Extract the ba2 file(s) from the archive you've downloaded to your Fallout76/Data folder.
2. Check whether you've got the Fallout76Custom.ini file under Documents/My Games/Fallout 76 folder, and if not, create it.
2a. If you've just created the .ini file, you need to open it and input this string in it: [Archive]
3. Find sResourceIndexFileList = line under the [Archive] section of your Fallout76Custom.ini or type it down if there is no such line.
4. Add filenames of the files you've extracted to the end of the sResourceIndexFileList  line separated by comma.
