What does this mod do?
Complete restoration of graphics presents at E3 showcase with Next-Gen graphics boost including:
-Better Lighting
-Improved shadows
-Better reflections both at night and day
-Color grading and color tone overhaul
-Sun reflection and glare off objects
-Increase draw distances and level of detail
-Vegetation improvements with better reactions to wind and fire!
*You will notice a significant amount of bushes and trees that weren't present in the vanilla version.
*Fire spreads were already good in vanilla, now the spread is closer to that of Far Cry 2
*Also includes improvements to god rays, fog, and the presentation of the sky and clouds.
*More specifically adjusting the weird vanilla bug where the moon will move according to your player movement.
-Unlocks all weapons/ammo/maps from the beginning
*But they all have a price tag (nothing is free in this world)
*Better crafting, removing the need for special animal skins.
-No more skill requirements like going undetected in an enemy camp or gaining karma from random events
-Removes the intro videos, for quicker start up time!
-Reduces HUD items, but no so much that you don't know what to do
-Removes the horrible main menu start up bug where it sometimes switches to window mode
-More Karma events for XP
-More animal spawns (currently too many Dholes, but working on a fix), but honey badgers show up more often for that last weapon slot.
-More random events like stealing cargo truck or taking out convoy
Installation:
Download Zip file to PC
Copy and paste patch_hd & patch_hd.fat to game directory far cry - data_win32 and replace files.
Make sure to make back ups!
VERSION 1.1 UPDATED!
-Several fixes and adjustments to clean up lighting transitions and shadows sometimes not reflecting correctly to player and objects.
-Forced HDR which now really brings a lot of the previous color grading/tones to really pop, while still being easy on the eyes
-PLEASE NOTE additional file replace location
Far Cry 4 Revived installation:
Copy and paste patch_hd and patch_hd/fat to the following location
Far Cry 4 - data_win32 - replace files
MAKE BACKS UPS!
