The rebels can no longer chase you endlessly throughout space, however they will be waiting for you in the final sector.
Prepare Yourself, and Don't Let The Rebels Escape!
Note from the Authors:
This is the original Disable Rebel Fleet pursuit mod, made by Disposable Ninja, and recreated for Advanced Edition by AirRevenant and Malacos.
We have finally recreated it as an .FTL file for your enjoyment and ease of use with the slipstream mod manager.
Special thanks to DisposableNinja for finding the method of modifying the fleet speed effectively, and open sourcing it.
Special thanks to KnightShadePrime for the compatibility patch with Captains Edition, another one of FTL's most popular mods!
Special thanks to Stefan Widany, aka Sleeper Service, for creating, compiling and releasing Captains Edition
- Download and extract Slipstream Mod Manager anywhere on your computer, preferably not your FTL directory. Additional notes about Slipstream, and a download link, are at the bottom of this mod page, if you are unfamiliar.
- Extract Disable Rebel Pursuit Advanced Edition 2.1.ftl into: ...\slipstream\mods ***Special Note -- If using the Captains Edition Compatible File, do not use both files, only use the CE file, and place it after the Captains Edition in your load order***
- Run Slipstream Mod Manager. Most people may need to run ModMan_Admin.exe instead of ModMan.exe
- Check the box for the mod and choose Patch
- Enjoy!

This mod is intended to be compatible with as many mods as possible. The START_BEACON event is affected, and therefore mods that utilize it could create conflicts or odd behaviors.
You can tell the mod has worked at the beginning of a game:

A note on Slipstream Mod Manager:
If you haven't used/installed it before, download and extract Slipstream Mod Manager to a folder, but it shouldn't be put into your FTL installation folder or one of the Program Files folders. It can run from anywhere.
You really should read the included readme for it.
It is available through Sourceforge (https://sourceforge....treammodmanager) or GitHub (https://github.com/V...anager/releases).
Note that downloaded and unzipped FTL mods (with the .ftl extension) should be placed in the mods subfolder of Slipstream Mod Manager
Patch Notes:
Edited 5/13/2021 - v2.1
Added flavor text to opening screen in game, to match the context of the mod. Now the rebels are being pursued by you, instead of vice-versa.
An Optional/Alternate file has also been uploaded, which is compatible with Captains Edition. This file must be placed after Captains Edition in the mod load order in order to work, and is currently only compatible with the base Captain's Edition - as far as I am aware. Thank you to KnightShadePrime again, for this patch!
Edited 5/3/2021- Updated to Patch Version 1.6.14:
Disable Rebel Pursuit: Advanced Edition - 2.0 ------ Compatible with FTL: Advanced Edition v1.6.14
Edited 6/8/2014 - Updated to Patch version 1.5.13
Edited 4/11/2014 - Updated DisposableNinja's original mod to Patch version 1.5.10 -- FTL: Advanced Edition
This mod enables you to explore every single star in the galaxy, without the stress of the Rebel Pursuit. Search every nook and cranny, leave no stone unturned, and unleash havoc upon the rebels once and for all when you meet in the final sector battleground.
