Dawnguard DLC available for PC

Bethesda Softworks announced that the DLC Dawnguard is available for PC via Steam.

The Vampire Lord Harkon has returned to power. By using the Elder Scrolls, he seeks to do the unthinkable - to end the sun itself. Will you join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop him? Or will you become a Vampire Lord yourself? Featuring an all new faction questline and locations, the ultimate choice will be yours.


The DLC can be purchased via the Steam Store for US$20 in the USA and elsewhere, 14 quid in the UK and $25 in Australia.

    its broken !

    hang on to your money people wait a month or two otherwise you end up an angry troll reading thread after thread looking for a fix iv not yet found one in several hours of searching .

    but on a lighter note iv figured out why they only sell it via download ,its cos its impossible to jam etheral binary up the devs a@@e's they got wise after the initial release of skyrim and all those proctologists bills .

    Reduced to £9.79 at the moment, if it was £7 I would have brought perhaps, but still too expensive at over £9 I think,

    my favorite part of dawngaurd so far was Pete Hines saying "We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given any timeline for any such news. If we have any news, i promise i'd tell you." and then proceeding to release the dlc one week later on the pc =D

    for people having CTD entering castle dawnguard, remove the mod+script vanilla mannequins script fix should do the trick...


    I was crashing trying to enter Fort Dawnguard, but solved the snag y updating that mod rather than removing it. So peeps having the problem might first want to ensure they're running the latest version of the mod.

    for people having CTD entering castle dawnguard, remove the mod+script "vanilla mannequins script fix" should do the trick, once more a modder solution for the original game glitch is trashed by updates/DLC!sad...

    Dawnguard is nonetheless a good addon but, yes, overpriced, now we'll wait t'ill someone make a first person vamp view...

    more than 40 hours of playing since DG install (80 mods running) only one bug: making Haran a vampire again and again, console commande "player.setstage DLC1RV07 255" fixes it.

    i find it quite depressing the vampire quest line was bugged for me...bloodstone chalice if anyone know a cause for this or how to fix it (without use of console commands) do tell

    I bought Dawnguard but it's crash city, no doubt because of all the mods I run, so I pulled it until I'm ready to start a new game. I'm unwilling to give up all my wonderful mods!
