This mod assists in the installation of the FF13Fix created by rebtd7 as well as implements the 4GB patch on the main FF XIII executable for Steam versions of the game. Without following the FF13Fix instructions exactly regarding the 4GB patch, the game will not launch on Steam after the 4GB patch is applied. This mod just handles the technical aspect of the installation (moving/copying/editing files, etc.). The FF13Fix brings a number of improvements and fixes to the game, while the 4GB patch allow the game to utilize additional memory, reducing the chance of crashing. The 4GB patch will also enable additional graphical improvements to the game at a later date that were omitted from "The FF XIII HD Project" due to this memory limitation.
So if you do not feel comfortable installing the FF13Fix yourself, this mod can help.
Installation:
- Create a new directory (folder) and unzip this mod into it.
- This mod does not actually contain the FF13Fix files. The latest version needs to be downloaded from rebtd7's github site.

- Unzip the FF13Fix files and place them into the provided subdirectory (folder) of this mod (FF13Fix\).
At a minimum, there should be the following two files after you unzip (ff13fix.ini & d3d9.dll).
- Run (Double-click) the installer "_Install FF13Fix & 4GB Patch.bat"
- The install process will then ask a couple of questions and should proceed to install both the FF13Fix and the 4GB patch.
