While I enjoy Final Fantasy XVI, I'm not a fan of the game freezing the enemies when you use an ultimate skill. It would be cool to use an ultimate, and the enemy or boss is still free to move. This would make it so that you have to use your skills strategically instead of just throwing them at the enemy.
