This mod requires the latest versions of Final Fantasy XVI Mod Loader (Reloaded-II) and FFXVI Mod Framework to run properly.
Please download and install both requirements along with this mod, and then follow the instructions here:
https://nenkai.github.io/ffxvi-modding/modding/installing_mods/
WARNING: This mod is incompatible with FFXVIFix's non-Reloaded version. Please uninstall FFXVIFix completely and then reinstall the Reloaded version of it.
Also, if possible, try not to install Reloaded II in a folder that's managed by Onedrive. It could cause this mod to not work.
If you tried to install a version update of this mod on top of an older version, you may encounter Reloaded crashing. Please see the Bugs tab for instructions on how to resolve this.
Description
This is a reskinning tool for Clive's armor and face that works for the most part by changing the game's database. This means that you can combine this tool with many other Clive outfit mods and it will allow you to reskin every outfit in the game instead of just his default Metian outfit. Most other Clive mods reskin either Shiny New Metian or Faded Worn Metian, so if you choose one of those as your armor appearance, you can then assign that modified appearance to the target time period of your choice.
The is a very comprehensive mod. Choose from over a dozen different armor appearances, what time period's outfits to reskin, whether to have the hood up for hooded armor, as well as mix and match various face/hair settings. The combined functions also ensure that armor and face appearance choices are compatible with one another. (Please note that only the built in armor options will guarantee face compatibility. Many other Clive mods should work with the custom head but not all of them will be fully compatible.)
You can also set up TWO reskins. One for Clive's default outfit, and a second for his Burnt Black outfit.
If you prefer, you can even choose not to reskin any armor, but instead just assign your favorite custom Clive face to Arete Stone Burnt Black. This lets you toggle Clive's face in game via the Arete Stone! The same principle applies to armor appearance.
Everything can be configured in the convenient Reloaded Configuration Menu interface, accessible when you click the "Configure Mod" button.

First, at the very top of the config menu, click the dropdown box and choose whether you want to reskin Clive's main default outfit, or Clive's Burnt Black alt outfit. This mod supports customizing BOTH if you would like to setup two different reskins. Just remember to hit Save before switching config menus.

The options for Burnt Black are the same minus the Time Period, so I will only show screenshots of the Main config here now.
Next select from the dropdown box which armor appearance you'd like.

Then select from the next dropdown box whether you would like Clive's hood to be up or down. This selection only applies if your armor appearance is set to Burnt Black or one of the Metian outfits. Changing this does not affect other outfits.

Then select from the next dropdown box which head appearance you'd like. You can choose from the game's original presets, or no change, or Custom if you'd like to have detailed control over Clive's face and hair. The Custom Head settings section below will not take effect unless you choose Custom here.

Next, select from the dropdown box which time period's outfits you wish to reskin.

Next you have the option of toggling on "Reskin ALL cutscenes".
Sometimes Clive changes his outfit to be more relevant for certain cutscenes. Toggling this option on will reskin EVERY single scene even if it causes cutscenes to make no sense. If you'd like to view those scenes the way they were originally intended, leave this off. Recommend leaving off for first time players.
Please note: If your target is Burnt Black, most special cutscenes will not get reskinned.
Now we get to the Custom Head section.
First, choose whether Clive's face should have his 28yr old skin or 33yr old skin. His 28yr old skin is younger looking with less wrinkles and no little scars. His 33yr old skin is more battle worn with small scars everywhere.

Next, you can customize Clive's cheek by picking between Brand, Scar, and Unblemished.

Then you can choose what style of beard you'd like for Clive. His 28yr old beard is very light with no mustache, and his 33yr old beard is much darker with a mustache.

Next, you can pick a hairstyle for Clive. Currently there's only four: Clive's 28yr old shorter hair, his 33yr old longer hair, Cid's hair, and Theo's hair.
Originally more hairstyles were planned for this mod, but it was discovered recently that the tools currently available to us cannot properly import hairstyles to the game. The resulting hair often has broken texture (flickers and looks like it has holes) as well as stops having natural movement (normally hair will blow gently in the wind, but the importer we have destroys that property and causes hair to become an immobile helmet). As a result, any new hairstyles added will not have normal movement..

Finally, there are 12 different hair colors for you to pick from. Screenshots of each hair color can be found in the images section of this mod.
The hair color will apply to his hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard.

Here are the detailed descriptions of the currently available armor appearance options:
Blue V-Neck with Leather Pants: This is a variation of Clive's undershirt outfit. It's a mix/match of the pre-timeskip dark blue v-neck shirt with the post-timeskip leather pants, for those of you who prefer the blue shirt color but are not fond of army pants tucked into clunky boots.
Cream V-Neck with Leather Pants: This is Clive's undershirt outfit that he wears post-timeskip while healing from injury.
Blue V-Neck with Army Pants: This is Clive's undershirt outfit that he wears to sleep pre-timeskip in Eastpool.
Imperial Bearer: This is Clive's outfit at the beginning of the game when he's still enslaved by the Imperial army.
Shiny New Metian: This is Clive's signature default Metian outfit that becomes available after arriving in Eastpool halfway through Act I of the game. This version of the Metian outfit is normally only shown pre-timeskip and much newer looking with saturated colors. This outfit can be configured to have the hood up or hood down.
Faded Worn Metian: This is Clive's signature default Metian outfit that becomes available after arriving in Eastpool halfway through Act I of the game. This version of the Metian outfit is normally only shown post-timeskip and is worn looking with faded colors. This outfit can be configured to have the hood up or hood down.
Shadow Black Metian: This is not a texture recolor, but actually the Shadow version of Clive's signature Metian outfit. More cannot be said without spoiling the game! This outfit can be configured to have the hood up or hood down.
Burnt Black: This is Clive's alternate outfit that becomes available when you unlock the Arete Stone armor appearance option halfway through Act I of the game. This outfit can be configured to have the hood up or hood down.
Shirtless with Leather Pants: This is Clive in his Leather Pants from the post-timeskip casual outfit, but without a shirt on.
Cid Leather Armor: This is Cid's signature dark purple leather armor.
Cid Red Leather Armor: This is Cid's signature leather armor but recolored to have a red jacket and black gloves/pants/shirt.
Semi-Prime Arm Metian: This is Clive's default Metian armor, but with permanent semi-primed arms, inspired by the game's cover art by Kazuya Takahashi. Please note that at this time, a hood-up version of this armor is not yet available.
Sleipnir's Plate Armor: This is the armor that Sleipnir wears when he challenges Clive in Kanver. The armor has been scaled larger to be appropriate sized for Clive. Please note that at this time, a helmet-on version of this armor is not yet available.
Multiple screenshots of the outfits and hair colors can be found in the image gallery. And more outfits and hairstyles will hopefully be added to this mod soon!
If you're interested, there is a NSFW variation of this mod that is listed separately which includes the nude (Ken doll) Clive model the game uses in certain cutscenes throughout the game.
You may also wish to change Clive's weapon appearance, which you can do using the Reskin Clive's Weapon mod.
Fixed Issues
Choosing Head options: Preset 28 or Preset 33 along with a Hood Up outfit no longer has issues where Clive's hair clips through his hood.
Hood Up hair no longer has color or shadow issues.
Shirtless Leather Pants, Cid's Leather Armor, and Cid's Red Leather Armor no longer have any issues where you can see holes or slivers of disconnect between Clive's torso and neck/shoulders.
All three V-neck outfits have been restored to their original color/texture, and still maintain being visible during semi-prime.
New code was added a few versions ago to prevent the need to constantly relaunch the game via Reloaded to get the necessary database changes to apply in order for this mod to work. If the first few attempts to make database changes fail, the mod will try again. When all has been completed, there will be a green message in the console log that says "All database modifications verified successfully. Reskin mod settings now applied."
The new option "Reskin ALL cutscenes" can now reskin EVERY outfit in the game. Leave this option toggled off to preserve the original cutscene outfit changes that SE intended the audience to see.
Shirtless with Leather Pants no longer has any skin texture issues. Skin will appear normal in shadows and when wet.
The Cid Leather Armor appearance option now has the original color and texture of Cid's armor.
Known Issues
The list of known issues has been moved over to the Bugs section. Only big issues are highlighted here.
(There are currently no known major issues!)
Several late game cutscenes have not been fully tested and may behave incorrectly.
If you encounter any bugs, please post here and include info about what your config settings are.
