A simple mod to display Nintendo Switch Pro Controller inputs instead of Xinput. Made for the Steam version in mind but should work with other versions.

Even if the game can totally be completed with the default configuration, the inversed button display might a bit confusing for a certain mini-game in chapter 12. This mod switch the A/B and X/Y visually and display the Switch Pro Controller specific buttons such as L/R, ZL/ZR, -/+, etc.
How to install?
- Unzip the .zip - Open the game folder. (In Steam, go on the game page in your library, then click on the Gear icon -> Manage -> Browse local files) - Put the 3 files (.pak .utoc and .ucas) in your ~mods folder: "XXX\FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH\End\Content\Paks\~mods". (Create the folder if it doesn't exist.) - In Steam, go on the game page in your library and connect you controller to make the controller setup tab appear. - In the controller setup, remap your inputs so the "A" button is set to "B" and do the same for the other buttons : B→A, Y→X, and X→Y. (By default, "A" will be set to "A", "Y" to "Y", etc.) - Start the game and change the XINPUT controls to your liking (you may want A to be the "Confirm" button for example). - Enjoy!
