Change your character via Cheat Engine. I included characters AoB(Array of Byte) value in Hotkeys(click on "Character" and press Ctrl+H), so scan their AoB and rewrite it with Rufus AoB
Main character's weapon gonna float so scan it and rewrite first byte to 00 (if it didn't work then try removing mods that are related to that weapon)
OR
Choose who you want to change and drop pak file in ~mods folder. It will remove their weapons and change your character to Rufus.
Now scan for the ability, for example "Divekick" AoB in "Abilities" hotkeys, and copy paste the address on "Rufus Abilities" address. Set your keys to their abilities and see what each one does. Use the ability through in-game shortcuts, place Divekick to 1 for example, and press it during combat.
Works in last three chapters (maybe will crash, idk)
Try another party member If the game crashes on Cloud when using an ability

UPDATE ver 1.1
Ability_Rufus&Sephiroth
- will make his abilities work in some maps
- Enemy Bosses won't attack (except last three chapters)
- Chapter 10 defeat Abzu and change character if the game crashes
- Chapter 11 crash
- The underground map where the Behemoth is located also crashes
- works in Yuffie DLC maps
- if crashes on Yuffie use Sonon
maybe it crashes somewhere else too, idk, try to get past that point
