As many of you know, Excalibur 2 is among the most difficult weapons to unlock in the game, given the strict 12h time limit before it disappears. Of course, you could also make time passing long enough for the in-game clock to reset (it does this every 100 hours passed, so you could get Excalibur II after 700 in-game time, when the timer goes back to white) but it would take an excruciatingly long time, of course.
This mod aims to come in aid of everyone who wants to get the best weapon of Final Fantasy IX without rushing like a crazy and most importantly while still being able to complete everything without a single worry. And before anyone points it out, yes: this is cheating, but at least you don't need to use cheat engine to get the sword and you still have to make your way through Memoria.
In short, this mod gets rid of a little part of a script that checks your game timer when you get to the area where Excalibur 2 is located, allowing you to retrieve the sword at any time, even with 300+ hours on your clock. Gone are the days of rushing through the game!
Installing the mod is very simple, but you do need Memoria Engine: this is a hard requirement and I won't support any other methods of installation, you have been warned. To install it, you will just need to unzip the mod folder inside the .rar file inside your game's root folder as it is. After that, just open FF9_Launcher.exe and clicl on "Install mods", and make sure "ExcaliburIINoTimeLimit" is checked, like this:
And you're done! Now launch your game and enjoy the most powerful weapon around!
