About this mod
Switch the soundtrack to the original NES version. Includes option for extra tracks that were not present in the original, faithfully redone as NES tracks by
Leviathan Mist.
- Permissions and credits
This mod changes the game's entire soundtrack to be that of the original NES release. A very conservative low pass filter has been applied to the tracks to preserve the sound the tracks were meant to have, and to save your ears and sanity.
You may choose between the "Purist" option or the "Enhanced"
Purist: Contains only tracks from the original NES release. For any scene that did not exist in the NES version, a suitable track was substituted from the NES version.
Enhanced: This adds several NES renditions of tracks that were not present in the NES release. These tracks were faithfully created by Leviathan Mist and used with permission. The tracks are as follows: Miniboss, Fiend Battle, Final Battle, and Church theme.
Installation
After downloading the zip, unpack it to the root of the game's install folder. That's the one that contains the game's exe file. Overwrite anything that comes up.
Then simply boot up the game and enjoy! This is 100% compatible with any other mod that does not alter the soundtrack.
