Hello! I've been researching any way of changing the player's stat in blitzball.
Neither FFXED or Farplane editor can do this, if I understand correctly. Do you know if anyone has found a way to do this? Also how did you go about editing the Blitzball AI?
I'd love to be able to write some kind of script to mod blitzball in all the new games I start, not just play it via a save file like this.
Any pointers appreciated or just directing to a modding forum for this game, etc. Seems kind of hard to find through Google
Was wondering if you could make it so I can play your jobs mod together with the blitzball overhaul mod and not just one or the other both in the same save? that would be cool since i want to play a completionist style and I do like the sound of blitzball overhaul.
Is the AI even better if i reset Blizzball? If I resett, all teams are their Vanilla one. The problem is, i cant recruit mates on the ship. And The recruitable Players are lvl 1. I think your concept is very great. I suggest to change my team, if you could change, that i can recruit everyone that is not in a team and they have lvl 25, that will be total awesome!
Hello, first of all, I apologize for my english, he is not very good ! And thank for ur work ! I have a question, I've always wanted to change the stats of different characters, I know this mod does it but if I want to change anyway, is there a way? I'm a beginner I specify !
Another question, Do u plan to add playable characthers to ur mod(Rikku, Auron, Lulu, etc...For example)?
And the supreme question, Do u plan to adds teams? I always find it ridiculous not to see the Bevelle Bells team, So I will find if great to add it and I think the same for the Zanarkand Abes ! I don't know if there is a way but it would be great anyway !
Ahhh I forgot, I don't really like to start level 25(small weak point of ur mod I think) because the leveling is already very fast, suddenly, there is the possibility of starting level 1?
I don't understand, apart from level 25 and the players making up the teams, there is no other change (still the same statistics, we can't play another team than the Besaid Aurochs ...), normal?
Hey @AylelY7 no problem, hoping I've understand you well! :-D 1.) Well you could use FFXED or Farplane Editor (google it to watch what you can do with it!) 2.) Unfortunetly I can't unless someone could design skins for players so I can invert them 3.) Same answer for this one: I think it would be possible to change the existing ones, but I wouldn't be possible to add additional ones. 4.) The starting level was changed to 25 because most players found blitzball itself too difficult - nice idea tho, I could do that!
At the moment I'm reworking one of my mods, so maybe after that I'm focusing on Blitzball again!

I have DL farplane but unfortunately we cannot modify the statistics with it and it seems to be the same with FFXED ... Or so I missed something .... Too bad because it is there one of the black spots of Blitzball these statisque (Kind Keepa best shooter of the game is nonsense ....)
Yes with FFXED must of the stuff can be edited. To edit more stats we would need to use a hexeditor / cheat engine! (sadly I don't have much knockledge about 'em) If you're searching on nexus for skins for FFX, you'll find some examples for team party members and other side characters. We would need someone to create / recreate skins for the blitzball players to change them to complete new team members.
But suddenly if we can only modify the statistics of Blitz players with a "hexeditor" it does not help us too much to have the skins of new characters in blitzball version, right? Since anyway to modify / create their different statistics, you will need the "hexeditor"? Or my horrible English made me misunderstand? haha

1. This is mostly aimed at your difficulty mod but is relevant to this, when the game begins in Luca do we have access to that thingy that let's us see the stats of unsigned players before recruiting or would we need to play the game and unlock it where you're supposed to in the unmodded game.
2. Can I poach other players from the other teams if they do not extend their player contract when they expire?
3. As with 2, do the other teams scout and recruit new players for their teams?
4. Could you talk about any adjustments to player stats beyond starting at level 25? Basically things like is Keepa still the worst goalie in the game by a country mile with no good abilities, is Brother still ridiculously fast and is Nimrook still a virtually impenetrable goalie, does Tidus start with Jecht Shot 2 etc.
Those 3 were just pretty poignant examples of how skewed balance was with some players. Could you provide a list maybe of the players and their revised stat blocks?
5. Can players learn new abilities rather than the ones they can get levelling up or the ones they can learn by marking other players?

1.) yes you can see those stats of other players in Spira! 2.) Yes, that's possible! 3.) No in this mod, they're not gonna scout / search for new players 4.) Well leveling players and how they're developing until Level 99 is what describes the balance the most since they're strong at different game stages / early, mid and late game. 5.) yes, that should be possible!
