About this mod
A small engine sound replacer mod that changes some V12 powered cars to sound a lot more interesting than what they currently sound like.
- Permissions and credits
This mod seeks to only replace some of the cars in Forza Horizon 5 to give them a more appropriate 'racecar' sound to them. Some cars are derived from GT1, so that's why I chose to tinker with them. Others are cars that just don't sound as they should, or could sound better.
The following cars included in the mod folder:
This, of course, assumes you are using the stock engine in the car.
And since FH5 does update every month for their series playlist, it is likely that the modified sound files may be reverted to its original version. If so, just drag and drop them again.
DISCLAIMER: the mod is technically altering the car's file in order to get the sound. However, I have noticed that some of the cars that contain the Essenza's sound also seem to have the same engine idle of 1,619 RPM. Not sure if it was the actual engine's characteristic before the modding of the sound file, or if it's because the Lamborghini Essenza's engine sound also corresponds to the engine's idle speed too. Either way, the mod shouldn't give you any increase to the performance of the cars.

- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S: replaces Race Exhaust with the McLaren F1 engine sound.
- Aston Martin Vantage GT12: replaces Race Exhaust with the Lamborghini Essenza engine sound.
- Ferrari 575 Maranello: replaces Race Exhaust with the Lamborghini Essenza engine sound.
- Ferrari 599XX Evo: replaced with the Ferrari 599XX engine sound.
- Ferrari 812 Superfast: replaced with the Ferrari F12tdf engine sound.
- Ferrari Enzo: replaces Race Exhaust with the Lamborghini Essenza engine sound.
- Ferrari FXX: replaced with the Lamborghini Essenza.
- Ferrari FXX K: replaced with the Ferrari FXX K Evo engine sound.
- Lamborghini Aventador SV: replaced with the Pagani Huayra R engine sound.
- Lamborghini Murcielago SV: replaced with the Lamborghini Essenza engine sound.
- Maserati MC12 Versione Corsa: replaces Race Exhaust with the Lamborghini Essenza engine sound.
