The BMW Goldfish V16 was an experimental concept engine developed in the 1990s. It was a 16-cylinder engine designed for a high-performance luxury car. The engine was part of BMW's exploration into innovative engineering, and the name "Goldfish" reportedly came from the idea of creating an engine that was as exotic and unique as a goldfish in a tank.
This V16 engine, although not produced for mass production, was a testament to BMW’s engineering creativity, showcasing their willingness to push the boundaries of performance. However, due to its complexity and challenges associated with such a configuration, the Goldfish V16 never made it to production. It remains one of BMW's intriguing experimental projects.
