About this image

It doesn't happen all the time, but it happens more than enough to be annoying. You start a standoff, but Jin doesn't respond to holding the button down, and then you have to tank the first hit and heal right away. On lethal mode, you just die. From what I read, the issue was present on the old version of ps4, but still persists and seems to be tied to fps. Please, waiting for a hero to fix this!

Ah, that's nice, I'll try what you said! It feels like it happens 25% of the time for me. I'd be okay if it's just me mistiming my strike, but the bug prevents Jin from even reaching for his weapon when holding "Y". From what I read, standoffs might be tied to fps. Like, if you're at a constant 60fps or constant 120fps, it should be fine, but anything that's not a multiple of 60 makes the bug possible. In my case, I started at 165, then I dropped the limit to 110 for cooler temps, and it happened enough to make me play stealthily. Once I locked my frames at 120, it happened less, maybe like 15%.  I'll test the technique you prescribed and return with my results. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I tried what you said: I held down the button immediately after issuing the standoff challenge, and - right when they approach one another, I see Jin gripping his sword. Now, I have a clear option of when to play as a samurai and when to play as a shinobi. Thank you!

For anyone reading who also has this issue, here's what I did:
      1. Issue standoff challenge
      2. Immediately, like milliseconds after issuing the challenge, before transitioning into the duel scene, hold the "draw weapon" button or whatever it's called (it's "Y" on an Xbox controller)
      3. Keep holding the button and keep an eye on Jin's sword arm; you'll notice that the duel scene begins, and Jin places his hand on the hilt of his blade, ready to unleash a slash.
      4. Success! It worked! Release the button when you want to strike!

      Thanks again @ncd2017!
