OVERHAUL FOR OFFICIAL MOD SUPPORT!
Version 0.21 - Completely new files with same functionality
Now can be ran with the in game mod system over replacing game files.

Pest Control: By popular request via GM's Discord, cats will now hunt polecats. This feature is exclusive to pet cats and works only when you turn on pest control for a pet cat. I limited this to just cats as otherwise cats don't serve any major purpose in your settlement.
  • Normal with Polecat this includes all the normal hunting targets of vanilla gameplay, but adds polecats as well
  • Vermin Only this version targets vermin creatures - rats, water voles, and polecats. Pheasants, hares and mallards are excluded (compared to vanilla settings).
Animal Diet: Stop pets eating just about everything but what you want them to with an animal diets overhaul. This will effect all animals (wild, domestic, and pets), but shouldn't cause any wild animals to starve.
  • Large Herb Animals (deer, goat, etc) will prefer animal feed and hay piles (such as on a stockpile or in a trough) as their first priority. Wild sources of food prioritize hay plants with shrubs as a secondary priority and all player grown plants such as carrots, cabbage, etc are at the lowest priority.
  • Small Herb Animals (hares, chicken, etc) have similar priority to large herb animals
  • Cats no longer eat honey or milk (as both are very bad for cats). Animal feed is their first priority with carcasses, meats and fish second and your cooked meals the lowest priority..
  • Meat Eaters (wolves, dogs, etc) have a slightly higher priority for animal feed with carcasses a close second, followed by meat and fish, then cooked meals as the lowest priority.
TLDR - Animals should stay out of your gardens and prioritize hay/animal feed first over other food sources if it's available.

Dogs Use Ladders: Enables pet dogs to use ladders for hauling purposes. The Diet Mod is highly recommended to keep pet dogs from eating the items you were hiding behind ladders when using this mod.
  • This does not effect domestic dogs or any other domestic animals (goats, sheep, cattle, wolves, etc).
  • It will effect hares, mallards, pheasants and chickens, but ONLY if they are turned into pets.

HOW TO INSTALL:
**NEW INSTRUCTIONS**

Going Medieval has launched official mod support. These mods have been updated to be compatible with this system.

To install, place in My Documents/Foxy Voxel/Going Medieval/Mods

It is extremely important you do not move the files around or change any names of the files. They need to be kept in the folders they are in for them to be readable by the game. An example inside the mods folder would be: Animal Diet Folder, contains Data folder that contains models folder with diet model repository. Also contains ModInfo, preview, and workshopid files.

If the mod is not working please make sure you have installed it correctly. If it is still not working remove the workshopid file and try again. Please leave a message with any other issues. You can find me quickest on the Going Medieval Discord under Lyosha.

Files are identical to the ones on the steam workshop.
