I recommend using New Clouds for GD3D11 for the DX11 renderer. For Gothic 2 there is also Gothic 2 Graphics Overhaul, which i just updated. It comes with new world files, new meshes for trees and flora. It's a bigger mod than this but with new world files comes less compatibility with other mods.
To use my texture pack with other textures packs/mods, make sure you set the date of any other texture .vdf / .mod file they use to e.g 1980, then my mod's textures will be shown instead of theirs while you should still get textures that my mod is missing (e.g their added weapons etc). this looks amazing but sadly cant use that with L Hiver / Eternal mod, becouse L hiver grass placement - it result by this CtrlV.cz | Nejrychlejší ScreenShot a PrintScreen online, grass beiing to high, coul you make a patch ?
Not modding this game right now so i don't have tools etc installed, but when i start modding this game again i can take a look at it. Very busy with modding morrowind right now.
for that normal maps CHOM folder rename - if i have original polish voiceover and czech subtitles, but all game folders are in english do i need to rename that or not ?
Ok, np. It's a texture mod, so it's not that complicated to install manually under 'spine,' but it would still be easier to manage. Nevertheless, thanks for the answer.
When using that mod (Vurt_CoM_Overhaul.vdf file), I have two problems: 1) If I just place the file into "Data" folder, some of the textures are not loaded at all (I see empty gaps in the terrain) 2) If I use the tool (VDFS tool.exe), when I change the date of the file and save it - the file size automatically becomes 1 kb (original size is 2.42 gb)
Does this mod work with the G2: Night of the Raven? I downloaded the game on Steam, installed the Gothic 2 Steam Fix, copied Vurt_CoM_Overhaul.vdf into the Data folder, but nothing seems to be happening.
Yes it works 100% with steam version of Gothic 2, Gothic 2 Gold Edition is the one with the DLC and its the one i use. No idea why it does not work for you.
Cześć! Pobrałem plik z 3 razy i zawsze jest ten sam problem,w gomanie nie mogę podejrzeć reszty tekstur po zbroi rycerza, nic się nie wyświetla a program zawiesza i koniec
why would i care about what Goman does to the mod, i've not made the mod for use with Goman, i've made the mod for players to enjoy as a mod and for that purpose it works. Why are you using goman to begin with, what are you trying to do?
When i use this mod some animals ingame are not visible, i can get attacked but i dont see them. If i manage to turn into their direction i can read the name above the animal but the animals are invicible. Some houses are also transparent and also some mountains and caves , i can see right through them. Weird colors appear aswell in some areas. This happens both on CoM and Gothic 2 NOTR. Ive reinstalled everything and tried all over but the issue remains.
I really recommend it, tons of cool plugins. You can have stuff like better animations, bug fixes etc. Imo everyone should use Union, at least if they're interested in Quality of Life improvements for the game.
Great! Ive downloaded it and when i enter i have tons of stuff to try out. How do i use this with the mod? I saw something about VDFS tool, should i use this for de VDF file of this mod before placing it in data folder? Thanks
any other texture file date needs to be before mine, so set them to something like 1980 or whatever. texture files are usually called "textures" so they're not hard to spot.

New textures looks great, I'll try to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
are you using Union? i find that union fixes a lot of stuff.
Very strange though, I only had this issue when using meshes. That's why i removed them from the mod.
not sure i understand the transparency issue, a screen could help, but potentially Union could fix that as well, never seen that issue.
