About this mod

Removes "Epic Doors" requiring skeleton keys to enter.

Permissions and credits
BEFORE ANYTHING:

You will need to either migrate your character to a "Custom Game" (you can just copy the files to the correct path) OR start a new character in a "Custom Game". If you use the normal campaign mode the mod will NOT WORK.

Compatible with the last version of the game and its DLC's.

DESCRIPTION:

This mod removes special dungeon doors, the ones that you need to unlock using skeleton keys permanently. This means you no longer have to restart your game session and craft a new key if you die inside the dungeon; you can simply return as it is now an open area. This mod doesn't change anything else in the game. Note that portals still cannot be used as in original gameplay.

YOU CAN SKIP THIS (reasons why):

I feel this mechanic doesn't add to the fun in the game, it only adds even more frustration than we already experience in this game. Grim Dawn has artificial difficulty and very bad control problems (path finding).

Things like massive crits that suddenly break your character when he has been taking almost no damage, lack of damage feedback to the player, floor types that do damage with resistances not helping much or nothing, autonomous aether clouds following and damaging the player that cannot be destroyed, tornadoes and other to my humble opinion unnecessary artificial difficulty "addons".

The cherry on top is needing to craft skeleton keys everytime you need to enter those special dungeons and being killed just to have to spend more rare components on another key and having to reset your session to be able to open those doors again, having to waste even more time killing all enemies again. So here is a fix for this last annoyance. You can consider this cheating; I consider it balancing.

HOW TO INSTALL MANUALLY:

Decompress in C:\Grim_Dawn_Installation_Folder\mods   where "Grim_Dawn_Installation_Folder" is your real path to the installation folder.
