This mod reduces and fixes the number of cop peds and cars in Liberty City & Alderney. It's inspired by Potential Grim (https://gtaforums.com/topic/945227-iveflc-potential-grim/) but it's made from scratch and doesn't use any of the Potential Grim assets.
Potential Grim's popcycle.dat file (the one that defines how many cars and peds spawn in which time or area) caused memory issues on my system so I've made this.
The number of cops in every area has been redone manually, all areas have been checked and have the number of cops that coincides with their type: e.g. in some shady areas like docks or ghettos (especially at night) it'll be really hard to find a police officer, while committing a crime in Algonquin or any other decent looking neighborhood will make a number of cops come running to the scene.
In the vanilla IV in some areas the cop spawn rate is increased and dropped very rapidly (2-3 times) within a couple hours during the day, and some areas like Charge Island or something like this don't have cops at all, no matter what time it is.
With this mod, cops spawn everywhere, and only in the middle of a night in some remote locations they don't. The cop spawn rate is increased and decreased gradually which brings a bit of realism.
Installation:
Navigate to \common\data in your game folder
Find and backup popcycle.dat just in case
Drag & drop my popcycle.dat in this folder
