SupremacyArms is a simple mod that focuses on making weapons more realistic and balanced by introducing new weapon parameters, fine-tuned using sophisticated formulas based on real-life data. The updated Supremacy Arms weapon configuration removes the distinction between poor and advanced weapons, ensuring that every gun in IV is good in its own way.
Pros:
- Guns now feel more realistic, deadly, and dangerous due to carefully tuned weapon parameters.
Cons:
- Gameplay becomes more challenging because of the adjusted weapon configuration.
Changelog:
-Increased weapon damage;
-Adjusted shotgun pellet spread (for bullet spread adjustments on other weapons, see the Recommended mods section);
-Equalized first-person and third-person sniper rifle damage;
-Increased effective range;
-Adjusted the number of rounds picked up from the ground;
-Modified the maximum amount of rounds Niko can carry;
-Tweaked physics force (affecting how much peds are knocked back when hit);
-Adjusted clip sizes;
-Increased RPG rocket speed;
-Added muzzle flash and shell ejection effects for sniper rifles;
*The above parameters of Supremacy Arms were adjusted based on real-life factors such as ammo power, caliber, barrel length, magazine capacity, and ammo weight. A series of equations were used to closely align IV's gun performance with their real-life counterparts. However, some values may differ for balancing reasons or due to RAGE engine limitations;
Weapons used:
The weapon configuration featured in Supremacy Arms is based on the parameters of the following real-life weapons:
- Weapon set 1:
Desert Eagle Mark XIX (.50 AE)
Remington 1100 TAC 4 (12 gauge)
Special Weapons MP-10 (9x19)
M4A1 Carbine (5.56x45)
Heckler & Koch PSG-1 (7.62x51)
RPG-7
M26A1 Grenade (unchanged)
- Weapon set 2:
Glock 17 (9x19)
Ithaca 37 "Stakeout" (12 gauge)
IMI Micro Uzi (9x19)
AK-47 (7.62x39)
M40A1 (7.62x51)
RPG-7
Molotov (unchanged)
Important:
1. Always make backups.
2. In vanilla IV, the Desert Eagle and Glock share the same reloading animation and sounds, the MP5 doesn't have reloading sounds when Niko is crouched, the AK and M4 have weird buggy animations with a firing delay and improper reloading, sniper rifles' animations are buggy too. To fix it, install the Improved Animations Pack.
3. I know that some guns' mag capacities, rates of fire, etc in Supremacy Arms are different from their real counterparts (like the mag capacity of the Micro Uzi or M4 along with the difference in how the M40A1 and PSG-1 shoot despite using the same ammo type) - this is either done intentionally for balancing reasons or can't be changed due to the Rage engine limitations. If you see anything that seems 'off' in this mod, keep in mind that IV is 17 years old and something just can't be changed without breaking the game or one of the mod's concepts. There shouldn't be any bugs though, hit me up if you find any.
4. This mod is for IV only and doesn't support EFLC.
