Last year I uploaded the Remastered Dialogue Pack mod on here - I used rvc to "remaster" the dialogue, however I was not able to do everything since I had to train an AI model from scratch and at the very least it needs to have a few minutes to actually work decently, but most characters in game don't have that luxury
I recently found out about DXRevive which is a vst plugin that cleans up the dialogue audio by a lot. Hence why this version, as an experiment.

The main improvement compared to the RVC version is that every piece of dialogue is included compared to the select few characters from the RVC mod. It's also lossless, as the RVC version was trained on lossy audio resulting it'd peak at 12k/13k. And for me, it's way less time-consuming as well, as I can just batch process everything through Reaper.

I suppose the main downside is that it's way bigger (since it includes most files to begin with), clocking in at 7,65gb (like 7gb compressed) in total compared to the 1,25gb RVC version. Plus I don't have the time to check 60000 audio files, so except the usual glitches at times.

INSTALLATION:
Install modloader and put the Remastered Dialogue Pack -dxrevive- folder into it, that's it.
I recommend using the Uncompressed SFX pack along with it.

NOTES/ISSUES:
  • As it features the same files included with the RVC edition they are not compatible. You could mix and match them whether you like, though
  • I personally don't like the police helicopter voices, dxrevive doesn't seem to do well with filtered voice lines like that and phone calls, to delete: remove the bank_011 folder in SPC_FA.
  • I had someone asking me in dms, but I generally do recommend using modloader instead of replacing the audio files themselves. The game crashes when you try to replace the files of SPC_GA with this mod, for instance.
  • The cutscene audio isn't included, yes it's compressed, but not as badly as the rest.
  • I'd like to make a lossy version just to optimize this mod, but unfortunately the original files are in .wav and afaik modloader doesn't replace anything unless it's in the same format, would be nice if this mod could be in .opus but alas
  • Regarding the "definitive" edition, I'm not certain how modding in that game works, really. Also just play the original lmao
  • There are some other AI upscale tools like AudioSR and the Apollo enhancers on MVSEP, and I think they have a lot more potential than DXRevive but I haven't found a good way to batch process them as of yet.
  • The game has trouble booting, I guess it's because of the bloated size - I do think force closing the process if it doesn't boot and having the game on a SSD helps, at least for me personally.
