You have to come back and finish the last section, After the labs when alien grunts come in , their AI and behavior and health is a US solider. It's odd when they ally with humans to fight you. Can you fix this please And they arent aggressive in the originals they dont jump, shoot with hornets.
I was expecting a different way of combat in last half of game with these new enemies but its not up to par. Otherwise the current mod is great, I just can't play more.
I think it would be best if Ashok0 somehow compiles most of the useful mods into the bms_vr. I am actually really interested if we can get reshade working with this, perhaps even some rtgi can be set up. But an update to bms_vr seems to be long overdue due to personal reasons. I am not sure if it is possible to have a community effort to push it forward.
out of curiosity is this mod still being worked on towards a possible offical release?.....what do you plan to do with it....are you guys possibly attempting to splice the original and the comunity made version as a accessable option in the game?
This mod is excellent, unbelievable what you achieved. I have to report some major bugs though, one that broke the game for me and made me skip a chapter was with the big fan you have to activate to kill the Tentacles in the chapter Blast Pit. After you activate it, you start flying after a while, the problem is that it you never stop flying, so you are constantly floating, even if you enter the vents or noclip outside the fan area. The other major bug I had was that the train in the chapter on Rails just stopped working, I couldn't interact with it anymore so I had to do the chapter on foot.
Faced the exact same issue. The way I bypassed this was I loaded and previous save, enabled noclip from the developer options right before hitting the fan button, then disabled noclip in the corridor at the end of this section (just before the loading screen to get back to the central section)
Ashok, I just wanted to say that I will always appreciate what you've done for the VR community, between starting this project and the system shock remake vr mod, you're doing some of the best legwork for the VR game library out of any individual, more so than some studios at the moment. Take as long as you need to make anything you decide to make because its always going to be worth it, you go the full distance where others wouldn't even dare consider tackling the challenge, Crowbar Collective called bringing black mesa into VR a "herculean effort" and I couldn't think of anyone more fit for the task, those in the F2VR server called system shock remake a problematic game to bring into VR, and yet you're here proving people wrong and making dreams come true, some people may get upset about the wait, but I will always champion your efforts and your work.
Could you tease a few updates/fixes you'll be implementing? Any idea yet what part of December you hope to have it ready by? Thanks for doing what you do!
Mostly fixing issues with broken audio and scripted sequences to give the campaign more polish. The next version will also have a functional MP5 model along with friendly fire. You'll have to temper expectations on a working jump module, as this is something I cannot address until the HL2VR mod goes open source.
Quick update, I ended up getting sick back to back with COVID-19 and the flu and had to take a break from modding. I'm feeling better now and have resumed development, the next update should be ready soon.
good to hear. cant wait to play it with the mp5 mod. tbh, even tho its cool to play BM in vr, using only the hl2 weapons give me the wrong vibes, since both games have such a different loadout
Russian Russian Installed the Black Mesa Source VR mod, but it only works in English, how to make Russian if the flat version of the steam voiceover works and VR Russian does not work
1) I tried to edit the file [...]MO2\mods\XEN\gameinfo. txt to point to the Russian voiceover files. That didn't help!
2) Then I made backup copies of the files of the English version and replaced them with renamed files of Russian localization - still the voice in English - I do not understand where the mod takes the voice-over from
3) There are quite a lot of files in the Steam folder with the Russian language mark. I found a match for all the files and replaced them, having previously renamed them as they are named in the original version. Apart from *_004.VPK - there seems to be no analog for it in the source files
4)There are also lines in the file [...]MO2\mods\XEN\gameinfo. txt "GAMES" and "GAMES+MOD" - does that mean something?
UPD .... It's a shame, but no one seems to be answering here.
Hi, we are talking about new Russian voice over of the Black Mesa, is it possible to port it to the VR mod? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=600910999

Anyone use any successfully and have any recommendations? One I'm interested in for example is the 4x AI texture upscaler in the ep2 vr workshop.
