Mod Author Analytics
A new Mod Author Analytics page is now available, giving authors a monthly breakdown of the total and unique downloads for their mods. You can find the page here.
Premium Membership Payments
Great news for our Chinese users: Alipay is now an accepted Premium subscription payment method for anyone in China. Our China-based users make up approximately 10% of our overall user base, being our second-highest source of traffic by country. So this is a big step to being able to offer more flexibility in how they pay.
Quality of Life
- Enhanced User Interaction: Mods can now be endorsed, unendorsed, tracked, or untracked directly from the tile on user profiles. Simply hover over the tile and click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner to access these new options.
- Improved Icon Consistency: Icons on the newer Next site (next.nexusmods.com) now use standard sizing. Previously the sizing was inconsistent, even for the same icon, depending on the page.
- Streamlined Media Sorting: We’ve also improved the user experience when sorting media and mods on user profiles by stopping the page from jumping/scrolling unnecessarily.
- Customisable Display Options: User profiles and Collection pages now respect the “Number of items to show per page” setting that is available to Premium members. For example, where a profile has 80 or more mods and the setting is set to “80” you will see 80 mods per page.
- Simplified 2FA: The 2FA code input field which you’re prompted to use when logging in is no longer a ‘password’ field, meaning it doesn’t hide your code by default as you type it in.
Moderation
- DMCA and Takedown Requests: are now being published publicly here. The banner on the mod page will remain unchanged for affected mods, but you can cross-reference this information with the new forum thread.
- Reporting Content: When reporting any content on the site (e.g., Mods, Comments, Collections, Users), you can now attach up to five images or text files as evidence. These will be available in our moderation centre for review.
- Spam Option: We’ve also added a new 'Spam' reason that can be selected when reporting content that is clearly spam.
Eww, Bugs
- Expandable Comments: We’ve changed how some very long comments (mostly on mods) are displayed. We had a few rare scenarios where a comment was so long or included many images that attempting to load it, at times, would cause the whole comment section to break. These comments are now hidden by default until you click a button to ‘expand’ them to be visible.
- Hidden Mod DP: When hiding or unhiding a mod, its Donation Points opt-in status will now be correctly maintained.
- User Profile Errors: We fixed a bug that caused users on our newer Next site (next.nexusmods.com) to get application errors when viewing a user’s profile.
- Reporting Comments: A bug preventing some mod comments from being reported to moderators was fixed.
- Mod Author Analytics Page: We fixed a bug with our new Mod Author Analytics page, which caused some mods to appear twice. Hidden, removed or unpublished mods are also now included.
- Search Results: A bug on our newer Next site which caused it to return no results for any search was fixed.
Content
Just a quick one from me and the Content team. Last week our first competition came to a close, thank you to everyone who participated. We had a lot of fun looking through all the submissions. The winners’ announcement post is here if you missed it, and you can check out all the entries in this forum thread here.
We’re also planning a festive competition, so stay tuned!

It also still seems to be 'in the code' as well, but just hidden.
If I click on Slow Download - nothing happens. Inspecting element shows
<button id="slowDownloadButton" class="rj-btn rj-btn-secondary rj-btn-full" data-download-url="#ERROR-download-location-not-found"><span>Slow download</span></button>
If you continue to have problems, please PM JTK or post on the forums. I'll lock this discussion as it isn't related to the news post above.
I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask, as I don’t know where else would be more suitable.
The DP system checks for all mods that are active, visible and opted in for DP at midnight on the 1st of each month. As your mods were not opted in at this time, they have not been included in the DP report and this is why you cannot see a report for September.
Less clicks, more convenience
We did try it the way you suggested in an early prototype but we decided against it as nothing else in the stats row at the bottom of the card is clickable so it was a bit confusing to have one exception. We've also got plans to add at least one more option to that drop-down menu for users so having only one action in the top-right wouldn't work for that.
Another related idea on the topic, if you're going to add more options to the dropdown, it could be to add them as a button, but only have them appear when you hover over the mod. Like the + icon that appears on the homepage in the most modded games.
Anyways, thanks for considering the option.
