Reduced overall file size.
Hopefully fixed crashes.

Added a patch for Illuminate missions.
Updated main file to include all races.

May do the occasional woosh but should work fine otherwise!

To-do list
Add patch that mutes objective completion.

What does the mod do?

If you're like me, you've gotten tired of listening to the same loops accompanying your killing sprees every time a bug shows up or a bot spots you from across the continent. You just want to enjoy the game's audio free of distractions when it matters.

This mod will do just that. It will mute the annoying combat and ambient music while keeping the amazing descent, extraction and mission completion music intact.

Muted:
  • Ambient (Walking around and exploring)
  • Combat (Active combat, bug breaches, bot drops etc.)

Not muted:
  • Ship music
  • Descent (Drop / Deployment)
  • First arrival (Atmospheric stuff after the drop)
  • Flag raising (My democracy officer told me not to touch this one)
  • Objective completion (Fanfares when completing objectives)
  • Extraction
  • Mission complete (Take-off)

This is a bit of a hackjob since I am VERY new to modding HD2 but the mod MOSTLY does what it's supposed to.
I've had a few parts of the extraction music going silent on me on rare occasions. Don't expect a perfect result!

Installation and removal

The mod comes in four versions:
  • All races
  • Only bug music
  • Only bot music
  • Only illuminate music

Most easily installed using HD2 Mod Manager.

Add the mod like any other, enable it and click Deploy.

If you want to install manually, extract the patch files in the archive into your Helldivers2/data folder.

To remove, disable the mod in the mod manager or delete the mod's patch files from your data folder.

Enjoy the quiet, Helldiver!
